My most liked blog of mine so far.
Super blog article Lamar. I agree Cody should have been on Frye. My continuing concern for Kemba is his size and his shooting. Can't change his small stature so his defense will get compromised at times by bigger guards.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Re: The Channng Frye Effect: Explaining the Orlando Loss
Excellent post Lamar, and like Bassman agree with your take about Zeller being the better option on high PNR's. I think Zeller's problem was that he was really underperforming this game so Clifford wanted him on the bench, or otherwise he would have been in there.
Also completely agree that this was a sort of flukey game rather than evidence of a systematic issue and that the comeback was largely the result of terrible on ball defense by our guards. I was looking up defensive stats on NBA.com and our guards are leaving a lot to be desired. This game is a great example of how they can struggle to contain their men even on simple one on one situations.

The loss of Frye was the main reason I picked PHX to win fewer games than last season, despite picking up IT and getting Bledsoe back.

I'm speechless..

the traffic was great and all till this point, but this happening is otherworldly..
just wanted to thank all of you guys. you've shown me amazing support ever since I signed on here and randomly joined a GT during the times when we had guys nicknamed Brick and UPS playing major forward minutes. without your support there wouldn't have been that spark to take that stuff which I share with on the board to starting my own blog.

If you stop posting here we will hunt you down, chain you to a computer, and force you to write more blog posts or else stare at LP making out with a life size cut out of Parsons.

I have no idea. Upon this point I was just happy about good traffic (in the thousands) and the fact that 98% of people liked this particular write-up.
But this truly stunned me... to be mentioned in the same breath as Zach Lowe... I felt like I was going to cry because of joy.
So far I've been just using realGM (posted it also on the Orlando board, the Chicago board found it interesting and mentioned it themselves, a grateful shout out to them), twitter (only Hornets-related people and a long-shot at tweeting Zach Lowe since had that tweet about Maxiell) and reddit (which has been by far the most useful, someone with 12K followers might retweet you, but it will only generate about 30 views... I found that interesting as far the internet as a mean of advertising or spreading your material goes)

I wouldn't doubt if it was picked up on RealGM somewhere or Reddit. I know that Simmons, Lowe, and others mention RealGM boards and reddit as places they get info. Pretty sure Simmons used to post on Reddit until it got too hectic over there. Even Jalen Rose and Jacoby mentioned on one of their last pods that they get content for the podcast on there. So I wouldn't doubt if it was picked up on here or /r/NBA.
Glad to see all your hard work paying off and you getting this recognition. Makes me feel I need to step up my basketball game so I don't say something dumb in the growing fame of Lamar.

Lamar, can you hyperlink the mentions of your earlier blog "Maxiell vs. Biz" and your "week 1 blog" in this piece so that all your newfound readers can easily read the others too? Just a thought.
Totally psyched people are finding your work. Congrats, well-deserved.

yeah, I also thought of that only today. thanks for the reminder. should have thought of it when initially writing, rookie mistake.
btw, thanks to you specifically. I appreciate and remember you taking the time last summer and making up a list of e-mails from the Observer that I should try and reach.
