They are both better players than Al so I guess we are probably the worst team in the league since we have the worst starting backcourt and frontcourt.

When you said oh wait, were you thinking about how their starting backcourt is currently shooting 53% from three (Lee) and 43.5% from three (Conley)?
Cause...yeah...they are.
Memphis is currently a top 10 three point shooting team. We are second to last in the league.
Conley is shooting like 7% higher than his career average and has generally only been just goof enough to keep defenses honest. Prince isnt a threat. Tony Allen is below 30% for his career. Neither of their bigs even shoot 3s. They have been a legit Western playoff team for years with barely any deep threats. My point was that this obsession with spacing is out of control. You dont have to have a bunch of lights out deep threats to be a good team or even have a good offense. You can even be a good 3 point shooting team without great deep threats if you have an offensive system that creates good looks. The Spurs are a good example. Parker isnt better than Kemba from deep an Duncan and Splitter dont even attempt them. Kawhi is average and Green is their only really good shooter among starters. They bring most of their shooting off the bench. We need better offensive sets and ball movement a lot more than we need more shooters.

I hope you weren't taking a shot at what I asked. I was honestly asking if the plan was to run your offense without taking many 3s. I'm sure it can be made to work even if taking a bunch of 3s is in vogue right now.

Before we got Al some complained about needing a legit offensive post presence to get Kemba better shots. Got one.
Lol the Kemba excuses for poor shooting will never end I swear.

Al is only an offensive threat in isolation. He sets terrible screens and is a non-threat in the pick and roll which is the main way a post threat can help a ball handler get good shots. Al doesn't demand any attention off ball because he has no sense of position or moving without the ball. He stands around the block battling for position and calling for the ball for a post iso. When he gets the ball he completely ignores his teammates even if he is being double teamed. When he does pass out of a double team it is usually straight back out to the entry passer and then he tries to repost and call for the ball again. Al literally does nothing to get shots for other people except occasional spot up jumpers, which aren't really Kemba's strengths. If you really think Kemba and Lance are getting all kinds of wide open looks then I would suggest not drinking so much during the games.

And I would suggest you actually watch the games. Teams are playing off Lance like they did MKG last season. Even our terrible beat writer has notated that. Walker has been a well below average shooter since entering the league so there's no reason to go there.

I've watched every game this season. They are playing off Lance because he has been reluctant to take outside shots, which is an issue itself. He is clearly in a shooting slump that is affecting him mentally. He still isn't shooting many open shots. He has actually shot pretty well recently when he actually just shoots it when open. Kemba doesn't get very many open looks from 3. Teams actually somewhat respect his shooting even though it is terrible right now. Have you noticed that when Al has the ball teams sag off and ignore everyone on our team, even the actual good shooters? Have you considered that part of the reason teams sag so far off our guys when Jefferson has the ball is that Jefferson doesn't pass to open shooters out of the post. Teams have no reason to pay any attention to anyone else once Al gets the ball because he has horrible court vision and will force a shot in almost any situation. You know what doesn't happen in all those situations where defenders completely ignore our perimeter players when Al has the ball that people like Lamar highlight with vids and screen shots? Its easy to guess. Al doesn't pass the ball to the wide open perimeter players... Also, I don't actually suggest drinking less during our games. I can't imagine any other way to get through watching an entire Hornets games.

Should really stop the whole drinking ordeal. Rather annoying. I apologize for saying you should actually watch the games, but whatever.
