What is it going to take for Hornets be a"Great Team"

Post#1 » by BobsBuddy » Sat Dec 27, 2014 4:04 pm

:o :o :roll: :roll: It's obvious we are a second tier NBA team. What that means is that " the best" we as fans can expect in making the playoffs is as a 6th,7th, or 8th seed in a weak Eastern Conference. "Maybe" we make it to the 2nd round of the playoffs,but thats the best we can expect this season or next. What's your take as a fan of what changes need to be done now to advance this team to be a 1st tier NBA Team? In other word whats your blueprint for this team to be great?

Here's an example to get us started:

Trade Checker 6546190 Al Hendo,JT to Boston for Green,Zellar,Wallace and a stock piled 1st
Trade Checker 6546200 Lance,Maxciel for Hawes,Crawford
KW,ROB,Pargo
Crawford,Neal,,PJ
Green,Mkg/Wallace(trade GW expiring or keep it for free agent class of 2016)
C Zell,Williams/Vonleh
Hawes,T Zell Biz

Luck into a franchise player. Basketball is by far the most individualized team sport of the big four, and that is the only way.
Humble yourself.

Hard to find but we need a James Harden/DeMar Derozan/Paul George type of talent on the wing to pair with our drafted core and we'll be just as good as Toronto is right now.

If you don't consider Toronto a great team because they aren't hyped up and have yet to win anything then the answer would be what Thruthefire just mentioned and that's to luck into a franchise player.
They will wage war against the Lamb but the Lamb will triumph them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings - and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers." Revelation 17:14 (NIV)

Cho has this all under control

Kemba = Parker
PJ = Harden
MKG = G. Wallace
Zeller = Aldridge
Vonleh = Bosh
Biz = B. Wallace

Lance = Ginobli

Yeah basically we need a miracle.
