As much of a Kemba homer as I am, I really wish we had a go-to scorer. I'm warming up to the idea of Joe Johnson in a salary dump.

It's been mentioned on here before that this is the biggest issue with Kemba being our primary scorer, if a team attacks his dribble and shuts down the penetration, we're screwed. Can make us to easy to defend.

The signature Miami possession from last night:

Dwyane Wade missing a mid-range jumper off a pin-down and then proceeding to slowly hobble back. God.. they looked like an exhausted and banged up team without any size.

Was this Biz's first ever post-game Sprite Player of the Game award? I think he's done a post-game interview nefore but not as the recipient of that award.

Random thoughts...

I almost passed out in the fourth quarter of that game. It was a close game and we took 12 free throws in the final 5 minutes. I felt like MKG missing those two FTs at the 1:39 mark that would have tied it was a bad omen, but we pushed through. I was certain that Bosh three was in but he was WAY off.

Really happy to see Biz taking off like he is. On the offensive boards thing, I wonder if Clifford is backing off the no offensive boarding policy because Biz, Cody and MKG have shown they can be opportunistic on the glass and still get back in time to set up our defense. With Al, if he stuck around for offensive boards then it was going to be highly unlikely that he'd get back quickly enough to get our defense set. We looked like we had tons more energy than Miami did on the glass.

Cody had an amazing game defensively, but he did struggle a bit getting back to Bosh on pick and pops. Bosh was 1-6 from three, and if he makes a couple of those then all of the sudden Cody appears to have had a much more pedestrian game. His on ball defense has been VERY impressive though.

Miami only had 7 TOs that game. Pretty impressive.

It's kind of funny to me that Al can go 6-11 from the field in 19 minutes (on a night where the team as a whole averaged 34% from the field and just 30% if you take out Al's shots) with two blocks, a steal and 4 boards and somehow he is made out to be the bad guy, yet we don't really mention the fact that Kemba, Hendo, MKG and Zeller were a collective 11 - 45 from the field.

That Maxiell - Taylor high five on the bench was hilarious. Need to gif that.

I like that MKG continues to attack the basket. His percentage has come way down and he definitely needs to work on his craftiness and ability to read defenders to avoid charges, but I like his assertiveness.
