DVR didnt record the game tonight. It was in my list section, but with no option to play. has that ever happened to anyone? good thing fox sports replays the games at 11 (except they cut 6 mins out of the 2nd).

i need to find a thesaurus to come up with new ways to describe lance's poor play. how many times can i write - awful, pathetic, horrendous, abysmal etc... he just cant seem to keep it together for a full game (except the one in denver where the nuggets decided to mail it in on defense - lance wont get 13 assists on a team that is trying, same with zeller going 10-for-11 with uncontested dunks - back to reality tonight for those two).

i am surprised that our defense has been able to play this well with roberts getting kemba's minutes. it was the same a few weeks ago when kemba went down initially. roberts is smart and seems to maintain good defensive position.

Its amazing to me that a team with the frontcourt size and depth of WAS doesn't destroy CHA. I think WAS has a really bad coach.

I swear in Q2 to grab one rebound over Kris Humphries MKG stretched his forearms like Mr. Fantastic. I'm gonna start calling him Gumby.

I was impressed that Brian Roberts didn't play intimidated against John Wall.

I'm super impressed with Bradley Beal. That boy is sweet. And still only 21?! But MKG impacts the game more.

Otto Porter does not look like an NBA player to me.

Kevin Seraphin wouldn't be a bad pickup in free agency this summer. Would be decent, young, frontcourt depth, relatively inexpensive I would think.

Lance actually looked okay in the first half. Had that pinch post shot falling anyway. Man, the refs hate him. He would get so many fouls shots if he could squelch the bitch.

That drive dunk by Henderson with 4 mins left in Q2 was freaking awesome.

Gortat looks like he's 53 years old without his mohawk.

Cody was cold on offense, but he did a great job defending the brawnier NeNe.

Sweet finger roll by BRob 5:30 Q3.

Salami Pants Lance showed up in the second half. Ugh.

I want to see Jeff Taylor in Gary Neal's minutes. I'm gonna write this in every game thread til it happens.

I'm having trouble reconciling the Al Jefferson I see on the court right now with the uninterested lazy Al Jeff of the first half of the season. Was it really just the groin injury?

Roberts dagger 3pter with 4 mins left. Sweet floater with 2:25 to go. Smart foul on the spinning John Wall. Ices the game with his 90% ft stroke. Player of the game?

To go into WAS minus Kemba and come away with a win, not too long after winning on the road at TOR, this is solid stuff.

At full strength I honestly think we're better than the Raptors, Wizards, and Bucks. It is really unfortunate that we started the season off so poorly. Although I guess that's to be expected with Kemba's early season history, Al's laziness over the offseason, and trying to integrate 2 new starters. It's going to be a battle for us to catch the Bucks, but we can do it.

To win it outright I think we need to get to 45 wins. That means going 24-10 over the final stretch with Kemba being out for about half of it. If we win the season series over the Bucks and get to 44 wins that might be enough, but I think 45 is the magic number. We're too good of a team to end up playing the Cavs in the first round, I REALLY don't want that to happen. Not only for my own sake as a fan, but for our guys as well.

So far this season we are 5 - 1 without Kemba, 6 - 3 without Al and 9 - 5 without Lance. Some big 3 we've got there.

Hmmm indeed. Our schedule at the beginning of the season was much more difficult so it's not exactly apples to oranges, but it's also clear that MKG has a huge impact on this team.

I was surprised when I checked the boxscore after the game and saw that MKG played 36 minutes last night. Cliff's rotations with MKG were interesting. Lance was the first sub off the bench at around the 5 minute mark even though MKG had a great start to the game, but then MKG started the second quarter and I think would have played the whole quarter if he hadn't picked up his second foul with about a minute to go. Same thing happened in the third quarter - MKG played to the 5 minute mark, then Lance came in for him. MKG started the 4th quarter and played until the very end, when Cliff started subbing in Neal for him for better FT shooting.

I hope Cliff sticks with this plan of putting MKG in to play the entire second and fourth quarters and routinely getting MKG 35 MPG.

It's not just the Denver game. It's all the time.

Wouldn't have to reach back too far to see posters bashing the snot out of Hobe but he's had a couple of good games and now he's cool. Same with Rob and Al. Heck, I'd bet money if Lance averaged 16/6/6 over the next three games people would be signing his praises and forgetting how horrible he has been now. Then, of course, if he regressed again they would be back to bashing him.

It is a serious "what have you done for me lately" environment.

Definitely. Message boards bring out the true fanatics in every sense. I know I am very guilty of having a short memory when it comes to discussing our players.

I took a look and no one single player has taken 20 or more field goal attempts.

I like that.

Means the ball is being shared more and we are getting a more even contribution across the board.

I was a little worried about Roberts but he is getting the job done so far.
