I think the only real difference with Al's defense has been that hes had more energy to give effort since he is passing the ball a lot on offense instead of trying to fight through double and triple teams constantly to get his shot off. That actually makes a pretty big difference on both ends. I hope he keeps it up.

I've noticed that Al has been smarter with his hands on D. Use to just swipe all the time, regardless of good idea and got hit with giving And 1's a lot. Now he's more prudent with swipes and actually keeping his hands up and getting blocks (barely, 90% timing vs athleticism) and face guarding. He's still awful but him trying at least creates the opportunity for the opponents to screw up so that's great.
