The press release said it was "repaired" but the recovery time seems short for a full repair so I get the feeling it was probably just a partial tear and thus won't take as long to recover. That would also explain how he was able to play through it.

It was a partial tear and it was fully repaired instead of removed. This was a minor surgery procedure basically to remove the cyst and repair the small crack in the meniscus that allowed the cyst to develop. Nothing in comparison to what Westbrook, Rose, or Mcbob suffered. Kemba's surgery was more precautionary than necessary.

Awesome, in that case, he actually probably will come back better than before!

Just out of curiosity, where did you find this info? I think what you are saying seems right and it is what I assumed based off the little info I had but I could find anywhere that explicitly said this was the case.

Well we have a beat writer, and that guy doesn't ask any questions.

I've only started to pay attention to Bonnell this season, but man am I already getting frustrated with how terrible he is. It is unacceptable imo. There are people on this board who write better Hornets content than he does.

They should just give the job to that Spencer guy from Queen City Hoops or someone like that. We should start a petition or something. I think it could actually be a positive part of the re-branding to get a beat writer that actually likes the team and is going to deliverer legitimate content. Having a good beat writer could honestly play a role in improving fans interest in the team.

I've mentioned starting a petition before. We should honestly do it. I've never seen more piss poor reporting in my life. Joe Person who covers the Panthers is on top of every little detail. Bonnell is on top of jack other than a half decent article once a month, and our own Lamar blows that out of the water with his blog.

I'm taking this info from somebody that I know that had to get a cyst removed. He told me in order to have a cyst in the knee that there would have to be a slight tear that allow the fluids thru and that if Kemba just wanted to get the cyst and part of the meniscus removed he coulda returned in a week or two but since he went thru with the full procedure to get it repaired that he'll be out for at least a month and a half. I followed up that info with all of the reports saying that he got it "repaired" and that's the conjecture conclusion I came to.

Person is actually pretty terrible. I'm not sure who's worse between he and Bonnell. Pretty similar in that they're always getting outscooped by national guys, but I guess it's a positive that Person actually seems to give a ****. On the other hand it's pretty apparent a lot of players and coaches can't stand Person and try to avoid him.

I'll never forget when he missed out on some news item and tweeted out later: "sorry, I was at the Taylor Swift show and missed it."
