Well technically he's still under a contract with them so he has to participate in every team activity.

I know. I've been reading up on the...treatment, of younger NBA-level prospects in leagues like that one. Stubbornly playing vets is one thing (hell, we do that in Charlotte), but this is just excessive.

Will this become the first time in the history of universe that someone is holding back information just to be able to live and play in Detroit?

I think his camp doesn't want him get drafted by Denver or Sacramento, compared to them Detroit is a premium.

That's a fair point.

If I was a prospect, Sacramento as a franchise is probably the last place I'd want to go.
