Roberts may have been held out with an injury, however they didn't give Harrison or Williams any minutes as a third PG in his stead. Seems like Clifford prefers to keep Lin with the second unit, though he'll get a lot of time with Kemba and likely close games.

Hopefully this Lamb injury isn't serious and we aren't forced to go with the "big" lineup. I don't hate it, but it just makes more sense to me to go with Lamb and Batum on the wings with Cody or Marvin at the 4.

Wonder if our tryout guys get some more time in these last two games. We should put them all out there at some point.

I'm kinda worried about Lamb's defense though. He is a good rebounder but that's it. He just can't stay in front of those quick & skillful guards. Neither can Batum thou. I'm not kidding, Lin seems like the best defender at the 2 during this Preseason.

It just shows how underrated Lin was by these biased ... whatever...

I don't think there is anyone here trying to blame Charlotte though. Lin is more than happy to be here playing alongside these friendly teammates.

That Knick's rejection of Lin's offer is classic, obviously created by Dolan's people and ESPN. These folks view his kindness as a weakness. They are just judging the book by it's cover.

So the Hornets BEAT the Bulls and I watch Jimmy Butler highlights on ESPN covering the game.
The only Kemba clip was him getting hurt (he did drop 22 didn't he???)

I was there last night, first row of the upper deck.

Takeaways...

Laken is still my favorite honey bee even though she is a lying sack of **** who used an other honey bee's name when I found her profile on a dating site. Her body is so tight and she has the beautiful SC Vanna White look with the slightly cross-eyed gaze from a history of cousins marrying cousins back in the day. At least I hope the practice is confined to back in the day but I think SC is one of the states where it remains legal. That hotel ceiling mirror selfie was on my mind most of the game and especially when the camera panned to the dancers.

Kemba looked like the best player on the court. He wowed the crowd with some of his ball handling moves. I bought a Kemba Tshirt. 32 bucks for a Tshirt. Ridiculous. But it's teal and you don't see that color out much. It draws attention, like Kemba.

Lin is fun to watch. I think the Mohawk makes him better?

PJ fought hard for minutes. He got the loudest cheer with his buzzer beater. I still don't trust him but who knows.

This team plays team ball and because of that they're unpredictable to defend. Their depth will give teams all sorts of fits. To see Kemba closing at peak energy was intense. I love Kemba and Lin closing.

I hate marvins guts. Am I being irrational? Why does he play so much? Hurry up Frank.

That's Charlotte for ya. I mean the Panthers just beat the two-time defending NFC Champs to remain undefeated and the whole story from ESPN has been about how the Seahawks screwed it up.

I really hope PJ can have a solid year, he could be exactly what this team needs if he could play up to his potential.

It would be more disturbing if our guards couldn't torch Aaron Brooks, E'Twoun Moore, and Kirk Hinrich. You'd think by now that Chicago would've signed a decent backup to Rose by now.

Agreed, especially given the likelihood that Rose gets injured / needs reduced minutes to ensure that he doesn't get injured.

The only thing I saw on ESPN last night about the Hornets was them talking about Lin's hair. Get used to being ignored.

I'm with MI, I don't trust him at all. That one shot he took, where he faked a 3pter, then took a dribble and then pulled up for an awkward contested long jumper. It was an awful shot. He got lucky and made it.

Another first hand account from someone at the game:

https://jlinforum.wordpress.com/2015/10/20/jeremy-lins-hornets-vs-bulls-live-game-recap/

I believe the guy said he bought the 12-game plan for the season, and he'll likely be blogging all the games. So we should be hearing more first hand accounts from him.

I replied in the Lin thread also, but thanks for posting. This is a good recap. Its mostly from a Lin fan's perspective, but still some good viewpoints on the team, coaching and player interactions.

I didn't see the game, and am only reading the boxscores - so maybe it's not very telling of how things really went, but one thing gave me a bad feeling when reviewing the basic numbers:

Assists -- only 16 for the game? Kemba's scoring looked nice, but did he forgot how to pass? With the exception of Jeremy Lin (and Al leading the first), the passing does't look like it worked too well.

They are continuing to shoot a lot of 3Ps, and even though the shots weren't very efficient this game its still good to see the team continue to take them. And it seems like defense and rebounding are staying strong.

I know it's only preseason, but the assists are really something I was hoping would continue to improve at this point.

Was that just an anomaly in the stats? Hopefully the ball movement was good overall.
