Just trolling. Why I ignored him.
What's your definition of trolling? Someone who make statements based on facts or someone who make statements based on stereotypes and assumptions?
Btw, you never answered my question on who do you think is more explosive athletically? Harden or Lin? I already know your answer but I want you to state it here.

That will improve. For 2 million a year he's a bargain. However he's not playing well enough on this team to start and 6th player of the year for this team so far is the other Jeremy.....
You are picking stats to make your point. Lin also been shooting close to 50% on 3s, but I noticed you purposely did not state that. If you are looking at the over PER on the team, Lin is in the top 3. There are other aspects of basketball than just shooting.
No I don't think I'm picking stats....these are his stats...again I love Lin and I think most Hornets fans really like him and should at 2 million a year. But lets keep it real.....he could and will play better and for what were getting at 2 mill a year......its a bargain RIGHT NOW!

Re: Super Lintendo: The Jeremy Lin Thread
Let's abandon the analysis of Duke's basketball program in this thread. It never should have come up and is completely relevant.
I am interested to see what our end game rotations look like with Lamb playing so well lately. I'm hoping Lin has a break out game soon and Lamb continues his level of play and makes this an active debate. Both playing well would be a huge boost to this team.

Lin hasn't been playing well lately, tonight he was a team low -41. His defense was slack I lost count the number of 3's splashed right his face. His shot was way off too, there's no defending his minutes after games like tonight

He's overhelping and getting destroyed by the shooter he's leaving. He suffered this same exact problem last year, so i dunno why he doesnt knock it off and just stick with his man. The only thing i can think of is he's gambling for steals and blocks on the overhelp, which is just plain stupid and selfish.

It's expected, short leash. It's early in the season, Clifford should seriously instill some stability in this 2nd unit. right now they are not playing as a unit and only for themselves.

Re: Super Lintendo: The Jeremy Lin Thread
he was reading the offense of Manu, cheat inside to help, recover late on Mills three... should know better Mills has a fast trigger..other than that, his defense was fine... He recovered on time on Manu's three, Manu still made it, you got to give it to them... but the second unit d as a whole was weak, you got to give spurs credit, they moved the ball side to side so well and Manu, Mills bombed well no matter who covered them, lin, lamb or kemba...
Hi Clutchie, I love you...

Sometimes guys make shots.....thats what happened....Lin didn't shoot well...he had 2 TO's...thats about it...he contested those shots that were made. Thats all you can do. Lin needs to shoot better. He wasn't the only problem with the second unit. Lamb was worse

Na, he's always done that, definitely not for stats. He was asked to double LMA I thought? Lamb did the same thing.
Thanks for the honesty.MorbidHEAT wrote:My dislike for Lin started during Linsanity. It was absurd. It's probably irrational dislike at this point, but man he gets on my nerves. He's been tearing us up though.

Re: Super Lintendo: The Jeremy Lin Thread
i am disappointed with the second unit in general, it seems they can't counter a good defense... and set plays are so predictable, clifford was calling every play... i wish lin would call a high pick on his own and get things going, but we all know he would never never do that
Hi Clutchie, I love you...

Re: Super Lintendo: The Jeremy Lin Thread
I liked Lin's offensive game tonight quite a bit. He came out aggressively, looking to create/score off of dribble-drive isolation, which I've been waiting for him to do, since teams have been trapping him off the Pick N' Roll very aggressively - particularly near the sideline Picks.
It was refreshing tonight to see him adjust to the PnR traps, and instead stick to attacking from the top of the key. This avoided the action of calling for the sideline Pick that gives the defense a chance to set and attack. There was even a play where a sideline PnR was initially called, and then Lin opted to forego the pick once he saw the defense getting ready to trap him. The headiness was a positive - since in previous games he had elected to drive right into the trap, causing him to make panicked passes out of it.
Those expecting the 2nd unit to swing the ball around like the Spurs might be disappointed with everything the 2nd unit did (including Lin's dribble driving, which appears to be the opposite of ball-movement), but the Hornets current bench lineup is just not very good/talented collectively. Just got to call a spade a spade. The 2nd unit has been trying to PnR to death, but the bigs just aren't threats to roll and finish (especially Hawes), and they also aren't threatening as pick and pop options either. As such, I prefer when Lin initiates the offense via the dribble-drive, since it forces the defense to collapse, and isn't as predictable (and easy to guard) as constant perimeter screens.
Other offensive side notes: Lin showed some midrange game as well off the drives, which was appreciated. He was foregoing the midrange J completely when he started the season - and it's still a relatively new facet of his game - so it was a good sign mentally that he had the confidence to look for it. It seemed that he had no confidence in his midrange game previous - so to see him pull it out was cool.
As for defense, Lin was trash. Mills blew by him in isolation a few times, which resulted in the defense collapsing and wide open treys. He showed on help defense too early on several plays, resulting in relatively easy passes to open shooters. Basically bad man-defense and help-defense as well. I could see what he was trying to do with his help defense, but he was trying to be in two places at once - and subsequently was in neither place.

On October 31, 2009, against the Kings, a bat descended onto the court causing a stoppage of play. As the bat flew past, Ginóbili swatted the bat to the ground with his hand. He then carried the creature off the court, earning the applause of the crowd.
