One point I want to make about Jefferson's role is that he plays a different game from the rest of the guys on the team. As many have said, he's a bit of a throwback. In the playoffs, that can be a big advantage. The other coach is going to adjust, sometimes with major changes in the same game. You have to play the other team usually five times, and there are no secrets. But with a scorer and rebounder like Al Jefferson in your back pocket, you can throw him out there and confuse the opposition. Changing styles can give you an edge that wins close games, or turns the momentum in your favor.
