Kobe sticking to his lies about the night the Hornets drafted him. Figures. Any of us who were die hard Hornets fans during that draft know exactly what happened and its not the version Kobe is telling.

I guess this Kobe's "my high school coach cut me from the team", moment in his head.

Whatever...

what sucks is that this is almost like propaganda. the main Latvian sports outlet put out the exact same article and have people believe this stuff. on the one hand, who cares about the perceptions of the very casual fan, however, there might be a decent amount of fairly active fans who don't hear our side of the story.

Yeah, basically... you repeat a lie enough times and eventually people probably start to take it as the truth, especially when you have the media to use as a tool. I mean, its not like Bob Bass is going to get on the radio and start disputing Kobe's claims.

Bonnell has been pretty aggressive in attacking Kobe about this on Twitter, but the average sports fan wouldn't have a clue who he is

I thought Kobe basically threatened to sit out unless he was traded by the Hornets. Didn't realize Kobe was engaging in revisionism.

The fact is, a 17 year old managed to bluff the Hornets into trading him to his preferred location. He was the 11t pick notth e 1st pick, and maybe the team should have called his bluff. I mean he was going to play in his idol state, so I think the Hornets could have persuaded him to come around. Kobe wanted to play with the best so badly, no way was he moving to Italy. But that is all water under the bridge.

Kobe is a player who has a personal agenda and goal from a very young age, he would be always this way...
Hi Clutchie, I love you... :kiss
