I'm not sure Red Auerbach and John Wooden could teach Lamb how to defend.

he moves sloppy, his footwork is just all over the place. Alot of times he gets to the rim looking like a penguin. In the offseason, lamb needs to hit the gym and do some leg work, some straight line sprints, lateral hops, etc. Also, get this kid some mental training to stop looking so bored and disinterested on the court lol.

I don't find Lamb sloppy. I think he lopes along and sometimes has a young gazelle like look, but he's ok. His defense lacks a lot of fundamentals but he rebounds and does some nice things offensively. He'll get suggestions of things to work on during the off-season and defense should be a high priority.

Seriously.... He's not a rookie.
I'm sure that defense could've got him on the court in OKC since he's a naturally gifted off-ball slasher. But he's been in the league for a while. Long enough to know how to play D.
Its not a scheme or physical thing. Its really just him. Through 30 games he's got like... 2 good defensive games to hang his hat on.
