And we have a game tomorrow. Batum might be out again, even if he's back no guarantee he's ready. Lin apparently retweaked his ankle. It's the nuggets, a losing team, but so was Phoenix. This is depressing.

OUCH.

Never a good sign when you make Aldrich look like Kareem. No way in hell Cody can seriously be considered the C of the future now, can he? Charlotte can find a hustling 7'er for all the ball handlers to ignore a lot cheaper than what Zeller is due to be paid.

Tomorrow's game is in the thin Denver air.

Is there a way to rest Batum and Lin and win? I'm not sure I want Batum to go and just reinjure himself. Look at Lin tonight. I don't know what is going to happen to Lin when he wakes up. My guess is, his ankle is really swollen and his movement in it is very compromised.

Who is halfway healthy that we can run out there and beat a not great Denver team in their building with the thin air?

i don't think its time to panic just yet. When batum is back and the team is at 80% of full power again, then we can make judgements. If at that point we're still losing, then its time to eject. I think cliff should play the long ball, not just short game like hes doing now. Keep the team healthy, get some wins, enough to be in striking distance of a 8th spot. By march or april, big Al and mkg might be healthy enough to give us a shot at securing an 8th spot.

the one team that worries me though is the knicks...the last few games they have been playing like a top 3 team in the NBA. If they keep playing like this, there is going to be some serious changes in the eastern standings. Damn Porzingis and Aaron Affalo just gave them a whole new dimension

Nuggets tomorrow I would book a loss going to Denver on a btb doubtful to win that one.

Why Kemba, Lin Lamb can't have a good game in the same time? What happened to the front court? :banghead:

Not just Kemba. All the starters but Lin shot badly today. They combined for 10-39.

Outside of Walkers, Batum/Lin, the rest of the 3 starters hardly have a double digits FGA. Most of the time, they don't even have 10 points.

Hornets need a better offense and show the ball more.

This. Without AL offensive option, the Hornets need at least 2 of Kemba, Nic/Lin shoot well to win a game. Lamb probably is the only reliable offensive option from the bench right now after Lin plugged in the starting lineup. If Lin does not play tomorrow, it is going to be tough.

Kemba looked like he did last season after returning from injury. Two steps too slow all night.

Cody is back to refusing to even consider shooting. There was a play in the 2nd or 3rd quarter where he had the ball at the free throw line and DJ was standing in the restricted area and he spent like a full three seconds looking for a guard to dribble handoff to while DJ refused to leave the paint.

Lin is going to be playing on a sprained ankle the entire year...

How many times has Nic re-aggravated his toe injury in practice trying to return? We could have just sat him and Lin for a few games from the beginning and they would be 100% by now. What we are doing is the worst possible strategy to deal with these injuries. Have guys play through them when they shouldn't, causing reinjury or lengthening their recovery time and still losing every single game.

I'm pretty sure LP would pay more than that for my calves. I've had a lesbian blurt out in astonishment "You've got huge calves!" before. I'm not saying lesbians are authorities on calf sizes or anything.

I am drunk on elderberry ale currently.

Tracking player performance (game points/average)

Playing above average
Lin (36/16), Lamb (35/16), Zeller (16/15), Hawes (12/11)

Playing below average:
Walker (10/26), Roberts (3/4), Williams (12/17), Hairston (6/9), Kaminsky (9/11)
Stability is a myth perpetuated by the agents called homeostasis and status quo....

Braggins, it's the can't have Lin and Batum both out in the same game stragegy. Both guys try to cover for each other. And it isn't resulting in Ws. So it isn't worth it.

They need to beat Denver..That game is almost a "must win" game...My guess is if they lose this game, Clifford will need to shake the starting line-up and think about removing PJ and Marv out of the line up for 2 new starters...Even Cody should be considered for the axe.

I know this atrting 5 is un-realistic, but if I was the coach, I'd start.

PG: Lin
SG: lamb
SF: Batum
PF: Hansborough
C: Hawes

Bench: Kemba, Kamensky, Cody, Daniel

I'm perfectly aware that would never happen since it would require having Kemba be the sixth man, but this line up may be the best...Having Lin facilitate would means a few more easy shots creation for the big men....I'm confident Lin could dish out about 6-7 assist per game..He averaged 6.2 during the first year in Houston, when he was the main facilitator.

Hansborough is ferocious and could give you rebound and a guy who will attempt to challenge anyone coming into the lane

I'm not a fan of Hawes, but he's a good passer for his position and can spread the floor properly.

Lamb was offered a contract, so it's time to let him show you whether he deserve it...Start him and see what he's got..Dud is still shooting 48%FG..That is nothing to scoff at.

Than, bringing Kemba off would be a change of pace with his quickness and dribbles drive into the lane.

Only watch the replay. The game started at 3 AM here. :banghead: The game usually started at 7 AM or 8 AM. My body is ready for the next game in Denver and I hope Batum could play this time, this team severely need him. Go Hornets!

Too bad Frank put up a couple straight stinkers. I really think we need him to start. I still want to give Lamb a shot to start as well but I cant imagine Cliff doing that. Im actually a little worried Cliff wont make any changes until its too late.

I prefer to see Frank to start. The backcourt of Kemba and Lamb would be disastrous on the defensive end IMO.

I think Kemba off the bench would help hide his impact on defense because he just been getting torched all season on D, plus he's good at creating low/mid-percentage shots regardless of how the defense reacts to him so having subpar teammates off the bench wouldn't affect him as much. Lambs been hitting shots lately but his defense is atrocious and he gives up a lot more points than he can score. He's only a moderately efficient scorer this season and career-wise. Lin's been good most of this season minus a few quarters of some games and I've been very impressed with his defense. What this team needs more than anything though is a competent big (we have no NBA-caliber starters). I would try to swing a deal with maybe Batum if we are considering letting him walk to a team with too many bigs that feel they could use a glue guy like Batum.

The face of this franchise won't come off the bench, period. Except we somehow get Curry, Westbrook, Paul, or Wall.

Btw, i'm not very proud to have Kemba as the face of this franchise :noway:
