Lin played 27 minutes last night.

Exactly. And literally a third of our players are injured. Someone's gotta fill out the lineup.

The someone should have been Harrison. Lin played from the 7 minute mark or so of 3Q straight in garbage time through the 4th on a so-so ankle. It shouldn't have been him when they have Harrison to play in garbage time. Especially with Batum and Lamb down. Why risk Lin when the outcome is clear? Made no sense.

Harrison came in for Lin the last 4 minutes?

Come on guys, the same people now complaining about Lin playing "too much" are the same ones that point to his minutes average and say he's being underutilized.

the constant lack of communication on the defensive end really baffles me... the team seriously needs leadership on the defensive end...

That's not me. I didn't complain about his minutes or thought that he was underutilized. I know he has a sore ankle and he has a big role on the team. He also has not recovered from it. So, it makes no sense to play him garbage time. Especially since he's Batum's backup and Kemba's, you want him to play when necessary and not risk playing when not necessary.

Like what i said in Batum's thread. He is not a go to scorer. Kemba Walker is the go to scorer fo the Hornets right now. (Well, I still believe Kemba is more a sixth man than a main go to scorer for a contending team). What we need from Batum is his facilitating ability and his defense. And sadly, in my eyes his defense is suck right now. I'll give him a pass since he was injured and played thru it. Come on Nic you are much better than this!

Now you are saying Batum sucks. Oookay

Did you watch the game last night? He gave ZERO effort. He deserves some criticism. He's also shooting like 41% on the season. He's an above average player but if we give him the max that is ridiculous. He showed last night he does not deserve anything close to that. Walker is easily the best player on the team this season and he doesn't even deserve a max contract.

Batum hasn't been the same since the toe injury. I agree that he's not a go-to scorer, but he's great for Charlotte as he organizes the offense better than anyone else on the team. I think his defense has been a bit disappointing.

Walker is the best scorer and go-to player, not the best 2 way player. I don't know who the best 2-way player is, sometimes I think it is Marv. I still find Batum to be the best overall player on the team. I agree, he shouldn't get max.

Hornets were +10. That was the easiest $100 I ever made in my life.

Oh I know he's not a go to scorer. That's like preaching to the choir by telling me that.

Batum's toe injury has really hurt him this month. His Jan averages: 10.0ppg, 4.9rpg, 6.9apg, 3.3topg with a total of 1 steal and 2 blocks in 7 games, with a USG% 5% below where it's been all season. He's shooting a putrid 37/30/78 this month and his TS% on the season is STILL right at the league average. Even playing at like 60%, he helps our offense go with his passing and floor spacing.

That said, he was useless last night and probably should have come out sooner than he did, but there was nobody healthy or good enough to take his place

And I don't want to hear no excuse about injuries. Everyone's nipped up a bit at this point of the season. Kemba played 4 seasons on a bum knee he had since high school or college and that never qualified him for a pass and he was putting up as good of numbers as Batum currently is with a higher PER.

Ok, we can agree about that and i apologize. But why did you complain about his scoreless game while he only took 4 FGA before taken out because of injury?
