I have to assume teams had already done their research and knew Thon might be older. Might explain why he's been planted in the 2nd for so long, next to his partner Zhou Qi.

Yeah there's just no possible way that a bunch of people in Perth knew he was 18 in 2010 and NBA teams didn't know by this point. If he didn't age in 5 years when he was on people's radar teams would know. Now if he came to Australia at "5" and was actually 10 I could see teams not knowing

Givony thinks he's 19, says he went from 191 lbs. three years ago to 215-20 now and his growth seems appropriate for his age.

Why isn't Diop breaking this Thon Maker story? He's supposed to have his ear to the ground in Perth.

And isn't this the mighty Hornets coached by defensive mastermind Steve Clifford? Can DV be so bad defensively to mess that up?

I haven't seen him play at all, was just going by what dx said who mentioned they used to hide him against the opposition small forward in college as he was too slow for guards, they were also worried his lack of athleticism could affect his offence in the nba as well due to playing against better, bigger athletes. Made him sound like ammo after the injury

I've always viewed him as more of a point-forward than a big guard so the fact that he's guarding SFs and occasional PFs on defense didn't seem like a knock to me, just his natural position. He kind of reminds me of Evan Turner except he can shoot and makes his teammates better.

Source: injury concerns for all three exist, but Malcolm Brogdon, Caris LeVert & Denzel Valentine high on #Hornets big board for tonight.

Good. Solid citizens, solid basketball players. I've missed Jared Dudley.

Hammons is polished enough to contribute now, IMO. I dont think there's that much that separates him from players like Ezeli and RLopez.

Hammons looks like he's in fantastic shape. He's completely shed the baby flab he carried in college.

ugh reading this has made me depressed again about not trying for a 2nd round pick.

he would have been a nice try for backup centre, he doesn't work out you flick him. no biggy

can imagine him doing well for Dallas with along with ex Charlotte 2nd rounder Dwight Powell.
