Article on Tyrus Thomas finding joy again in his life, being happy about playing basketball:
http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/basketball/bulls/ct-tyrus-thomas-bulls-spt-0131-20160130-story.html

Currently averaging 3.2ppg (24.1% from the field!!!) and 3.2rpg for the third worst team in Germany's upper league.

His health problems during his time here are also mentioned.

He had an 8-block game soon after he got here I think. That is the last good memory I have of him.

I remember him for right after he got here he dominated the Cavs and Lebron. That was the last time we would beat Lebron in a game.

Our roster the last time we beat Lebron, was Raymond Felton/Stephen Jackson/Gerald Wallace/Boris Diaw/Tyrus Thomas/Tyson Chandler/Theo Ratliff/DJ Augustin/Stephen Graham/Desagna Diop/Derrick Brown/Vladimir Radmanovic/Gerald Henderson. None of those players remain on the team!

This highlight video exists on YouTube of that game:

It was his first game here and he recorded 9pts/12rebs/6blks in 25 minutes of action.

I also remember him having the most random outburst in our 7-59 season. 13pts/9rebs/9blks/4stls at Washington.

It was like one of the three good games he had that year.

great links, Lamar. I used to love T2 on my 2K teams for his shot blocking badassery.

I remember being good on 2K11 with Charlotte. Played Tyrus at center and chose him as one of the players you could spend developmental hours (or smth like that was around back then) on. He improved into a steady mid-range shooter and then there was this one pin-down screen play I would run a whole lot for him and Diaw. Probably the last basketball video game I invested a lot of time in. Enjoyed the fact that I knew the playbook I had two buttons away (it was like four plays you could have ready for each position) and knew how to get each guy a good look.

Looking back at it, maan, was that offense of mine so mid-2000s like, haha. Post-ups for Crash, free-throw line mid-range looks for T2 and Boris, isos with Cap'n Jack, etc.
