First game I outright missed this season but I'm glad we won. Looks like things got testy there at the end

If their performance against CLE tonight is any indication, maybe not.

They just had the most brutal back-to-back in NBA history - vs Warriors last night and Cavs tonight. That's ridiculous. They gave the Warriors a pretty good game last night and led late in the 3rd.

Lin was in triple double territory couple days ago.

Speaking of triple double, tonight's Westbrooks is pretty nice. And probably career high for Sabonis's son. Now if they can finish this good game with a win, pretty please...

I just looked at the boxscore, saw they lost by 20, thought, that's not so bad considering. Then saw they outscored the Cavs 42-21 in garbage time in the 4th. LOL. So they were down 40 after 3. That's tough.

Steve Clifford isn't happy with his team's defense. Thinks they should be top 5. I agree that is achievable and not happening.

.@nicolas88batum has now tied Baron Davis (3) for the third-most triple-doubles in team history (A. Mason - 7, L. Johnson - 5).

We have the 6th best DRTG so far this season, 1st in the East. One would think Bonnell would know that, but guess not.

Denver choked and let the Hawks come back and win that game. Shame.

hornets are an elite defensive team, they have good offensive action but have a crap TS%, their offense is just not good enough at the moment. a lot of that has to do with the kemba cool down and batum/marvin/MKG just not being efficient. You pretty much eschew offense rating when you start mkg honestly, but they are still really good on defense.

I think its encouraging that after having some practice time Cliff tried out some new looks with the rotation. I know it was nothing major, but the willingness is what really counts. He has the ability and knowledge to figure this roster out as long as he is open to trying things. I hope this season plays out like season in terms of how I feel about Clifford. I spent most of the first half of last season complaining about him, but then some time around the midway point it seemed like he "got it" and had his finger on the pulse of the team and from that point on I was mostly very pleased with his coaching performance.

From my Hornets fans perspective, Monday is a potential trap game. The Nets are hungry for a win. Some guys in shooting slumps may come out of them (Bogs, Hamilton). Lin is likely to play well, which can be a problem. The Hornets will have to earn the win by paying attention to Brook and by at times doubling Lin, or putting someone like Bats or at times MKG on him. Lin's D is on a high level now, but offensively, since missing so much time, he isn't as sharp as if he hadn't missed the time.

I'll be at the game. When the Hornets play at Barclays, I get a chance to see them and will go when I can. So, I'll give a report on what I saw well when I get back from the game.

Definitely a trap game. Lin is going to ready to kick our ass. I fully expect Lin to drop 30 on Monday.

Perhaps not major but it felt decidedly significant. You could tell Clifford was prioritizing defense with his sub patterns and perimiter defensive pressure which could be unique to Chicago but I doubt it.

First subs are always Marco and Frank together, yesterday it was Frank and Lamb while MKG stayed in the game....can't recall that happening before. Then when Marco replaced MKG it was with Hibbert.

Kind of a reminder CHA has had a full rotation just 7 games all season including camp and preseason. I'm sure over the next month Clifford trots out lineups we haven't seen yet.

I don't know about that, but he's bound to have a good game. But, I really want the Hornets to win. Let the Nets win other games, they're rebuilding and their goal is to be competitive more than anything else. My hope for the Hornets is 3rd round playoff elimination in 7 games. It's a greedy hope. But definitely, get out of the first round this time.
