Clifford seems to prioritize lineups that accentuate Kemba's scoring while keeping the ball in his hands (turnovers) which could be problematic without front court handlers in space against high traps. And just guessing but I'm fairly confident another major consideration is crunch-time defensive fouling particularly when the opponent is in the bonus.

From my perspective, however, it usually boils down Marco over MKG in lineups with Kemba and Cody unless fouls or time-score dictate otherwise....Marco and MKG rarely play together past mid-Q4 and OT.

But there are major changes that need to be made to our rotations and defensive gameplan, and they start with MKG and Frank. What the hell is Clifford doing playing Frank this much when he's clearly not there offensively, and what the hell is he doing not putting MKG on LeBron in crunch time while LeBron is hot? I just do not get it.

I really think Clifford just believes he can have a good defense regardless of which players he puts out there, and he just tries to mess around with his offensive guys as much as possible. I don't know what our defensive ranking is this year but it can't be great.

Clifford is the type of coach who doesn't realize who his best players are. I realized this a few years ago when we got swept by the Lebron heat and MKG sat the 4th quarter of our last game. We don't have anyone else that has a chance when guarding Lebron and Clifford doesn't get it. MKG should be in the game every time Lebron is in the game and go out every time Lebron goes out so he can get rest.

How many games have we seen MKG sit the 4th quarter and we lose the game.

If you're talking about this season, my guess is about the same number as when he plays in the 4th.

Charlotte's problem against top tier teams is we're really not that deep. Facing these super teams where players will sign just for the glory makes it near impossible to compete. Hopefully Cho could pull some type of trade that could upgrade the bench. Hawes is expendable and Sessions isn't the answer at backup pg. We're really missing Lin.
The Charlotte Hornets will win their first round series against the Boston Celtics in the 2021 Playoffs

Good win tonight, perhaps the best of the season. I'll make this a dynamic list. Adding Memphis and Houston to the list of good teams this year.

That changes the record to 2-8 vs the top teams. 3-8 if we add Utah, although we got lucky and faced them w/out Hill.

I don't think I want to qualify OKC or Utah or Memphis in the top tier teams. Houston, yes.

Yea because there's about a 5 game difference from those teams to Houston. That's about the same difference from us being #4 in the Eastern playoff picture and being #12 in the conference thinking about the lottery.

That says a lot about the quality of this team compared to last season. The Hornets let too many good players get away in their pursuit of Nic Batum. Last year's team had depth. This one is shallow.

0-10.

Lets say I change the parameters to teams with .600 win % after 40 games. That would give us 1 win, vs the Jazz, who played us w/out George Hill.

1-10.

Raptors next top team we face.

1-10
2-10 if we count Jazz minus Hill.

Gotta start somewhere.
