Nik Stauskas with a two inch smaller wingspan, lower 3p % on slightly less attempts/usage, slightly lower assist numbers and less overall team success in college.

Despite being 6'5," his standing reach is only 1 inch higher than 6'2" Donovan Mitchell, and a 5 inch less wing span. Best case scenario he becomes similar to JJ Reddick who didn't really break out until he was 28.

There are some recent examples of less athletic shooting wings taking several years to really figure out their place in the league, especially defensively. Redick and Korver are two examples. Redick after his 3rd year and at 24-25 years old was still only receiving spot bench minutes. Redick didn't become the version of the player he is now until he was 29 years old. Similar career progression for Korver, who only received spot bench minutes (few exceptions 2nd 3rd year). It took a while for these guys to learn how to play defense well enough to stay on the floor. Marco has never really turned his shooting skill into a regular starting gig outside of a couple of years in New Orleans.

I think the floor for Kennard is probably closer to Redick, Marco and Korver from the 1st half of their careers, not the versions of Redick and Korver that figured out how to start and play 30+ minutes a game later in their careers.

On the flip side of that argument, his ceiling is probably higher than both Redick and Korver due to his playmaking skills.

Dragic with Steph Curry's shot (not range) or Seth Curry with better handles.

Dragic with Curry's shot is an MVP level player. Maybe a more realistic comp would be more fair.

Most people compare him to Dragic and I have never thought of Goran as a three point marksman. Comparing Luke to Dragic is selling Luke short so yes, I got carried away. He reminds me of part Kyle Korver but with better handles but probably tied with bad defense.

I'm scared we take Kennard at #11.

dragic with curry shot is the best player in the league, and the idea that comparing him to Dragic would be selling him short is slightly silly. Dragic is really good player, maybe comparing him to gordon giricek may be closer to reality.

If I thought that kennard would be anything like dragic I would do cartwheels if we drafted him, I just can't see much difference between him and stauskas

Kennard is way more crafty than Stauskas. He will be able to get his own shot at the NBA level. Im still sticking with a poor mans Ginobili.

we should have taken Luke simply for his girlfiend

I knew I had seen her before. She's on this god awful reality show on TBS. I've run into that show a couple of times on Saturday morning waiting on EPL games to start.

Speaking of girlfriends, I remember wanting us to take Stauskas back in 2014 solely because of his girlfriend.
