He should just be a camp invite, if not this is dumb. If MJ really wants to sign someone who played for UNC or Duke Tyler Zeller and Quinn Cook need a landing spot and both of them are good enough to warrant a roster spot.

It's true, we're signing him and TJ Williams to the training camp roster. I think both have a chance at making the roster and if not I hope we can get them on 2 way contracts. I've actually seen TJ Williams play in person and he's definitely got the tools to be a guard in this league. He carried Northeastern the whole year last season. The game I was watching him he literally scored all his team's points in the first 18 minutes or so. He was definitely the focal point of every defense he played against and still managed to put up very good numbers.

Im fine with it, probably just a camp player but even if it is a NBA contract i think its fine. Would rather sign him than some old over the hill dude.

These guys are akin to the Perry Ellis and Andrew Andrews signings, camp invites with maybe some Graham-esque upside. They're certainly not gonna stop looking for a point or big just because they found a couple fringe talents from UNC.

What a W.O.A.T. Signing and people say MJ isn't partial to the Tar Holes lol. This guy wasn't that good in college, he just played bully ball with fat Cheeseburger Meeks and got away with over the backs and pushing off their whole NCAA careers. "Best acquisition of the off-season."

under rated offensive rebounder, freak athlete,better shooter than you have seen in Roy's offense. nice addition for MJ.

Hicks is a talented athlete, but one of those big men whose full coordination has not really kicked in yet. One sign of that is all the unnecessary fouls, another is the inconsistency--brilliant one game, invisible the next. A third sign is the somewhat tangled footwork. Definitely a good guy to sign for Greensboro and watch as he matures in all aspects of the game.

Hicks was obviously signed for the Swarm with the hope that he might develop into a decent roll player one day. I don't think Mike or anyone else with the Hornets expects him to magically turn into Lebron. :roll:

Last year there were as many Duke players on the roster as Carolina players. One. Meanwhile two Kentucky players and two UConn players suited it up for Mike. As it stands now there has been the same number of UNC players to play for Mike as Duke players 4. Throw in three Uconn Alums and three about to be 4 Kentucky kids and the total equals Mike just likes winning programs.

Hicks seems like a guy who could end up in Gboro. More so to get fans to see games than a guy who will ever break into the league. I'm a UNC guy and have watched him play a fair bit. He'd be a average to slight above average athlete in the NBA, can't really score, and is too slow to really do much defensively.
