Lamb has been our second best player all season. He needs to be closing games out. I dont care who is back from injury we need him on the floor late in close games.

The issue is the PF spot. We are playing guys there that we expect to be stretch fours who can hit threes but they don’t. They stretch and miss threes. And in Franks case, gets owned on defense too. One of them has to go already. We need to find someone for that spot who can fit with our scheme better.
Trades are how this franchise moves forward. Time to make something happen again.

Marvins been just fine. To me anyways. Shooting 46% from the field or something and close to 40 from 3. All hell breaks loose 3/4 of the time when Frank enters the game though.

PF and even center are a problem on this team. Our bigs are extremely soft, that is all there is too it. Marvin is ok, but just not dynamic enough. For the most part this whole team is softies though. They get intimidated all too easily. Kemba and sometimes MKG are the only guys I feel really have that "dog" in them. Maybe Monk or Bacon can have that, but they are rookies and need to gain more confidence and experience first.

Couple thoughts - I thought Dwight getting in foul trouble was probably a good thing, he's a very poor matchup with Love or Frye. He did do a surprisingly decent job on LeBron though.
I was shocked that we went with Monk and Bacon again. IMO Bacon should sit and MCW should get his minutes. We can't rely on Monk as the primary second unit PG, that experiment needs to end.
For all Frank's positives, dude has to hit shots at a more consistent rate. He just has to.

MCW might have been in concussion protocol. Explains why Bacon played. Less we see of Bacon and Monk right now, the better, especially at same time with Monk at PG.
More we see of Cody at 5 in 4th, the better. Dwight pointless in last 5 mins most nights. We aren't going to pass to him.
Just don't see Frank as a 4 against most teams.

Did we hear something about MCW being hurt? Didn't know that.

If Monk is in the game with Batum or Kemba and he just sits beyond the arc and catches and shoots, then I trust his shot more than anyone on the team sans Kemba. So he needs minutes, just needs to be utilized correctly

Which is why I can't understand why Bacon was the choice as opposed to MCW. MCW can move him off ball and give him C&S opportunities, which is his greatest strength.amcoolio wrote:If Monk is in the game with Batum or Kemba and he just sits beyond the arc and catches and shoots, then I trust his shot more than anyone on the team sans Kemba. Does anyone care to comment on Batum's physical condition? Obviously his cardio isn't going to be up to par, but I felt like he looked a bit more muscular than usual, but I couldn't tell because I was watching on a smaller TV with not very good picture quality. He also didn't seem to have quite the look of being sluggish/tired (at least early before cardio became an issue) that I've grown used to with him and he even dunked the ball a couple times.
One of the things thats always concerned me with him is that he always gave off the impression that he was perpetually exhausted and desperately need to sleep for like a week straight. It would be great if taking some time off from summer play to rest and train more has actually improved his physical ability a bit.
