I wish I could give MKG a Hammer tonight.
He totally shut Butler down in the first half. In the second half he was moved to guard Wiggins (because Wiggins was heating up in the first half) and totally shut him down in the second half.
All of Wiggins points were made in the first half when MKG wasnt guarding him and all of Butlers points were made in the second half when MKG wasn’t guarding him.

Monk need to learn not to force shots. That’s his biggest flaw. That’s besides not putting that same energy into defense.
I keep getting reminded of Ben Gordon and it scares me

Re: Hornets vs Timberwolves 7PM EST
It was the return of good Frank tonight and we win. What is it going to take for us to get confident and mentally stable Frank more consistently? What a difference it makes having that type of production from the PF spot.
Kemba wasn’t taking a lot of shots but everyone around him was stepping up.
Great game by Dwight. He was picked on by the refs though. Multiple bogus calls against him.
Would be nice to somehow get a win Wednesday before we have to play the Cavs and San Antonio.

Re: Hornets vs Timberwolves 7PM EST
I loved this game.
Dwight dominated. Frank dominated. Excellent team defense, and I like Cliff proving a point by leaving in the starters and yelling at them to D up when we are up 13 with two minutes to go.
Has there ever been a more polar player than Frank? He is such an all or nothing player.

That was a more legit win than the last. Felt like we were gifted the win vs. Clippers.
The last two games by Howard have been a relief. He and Clifford are the two people I worry about with this team.

Only does it once every 5 or 6 games though, unfortunately. Or at least thats what it seems like.

Re: Hornets vs Timberwolves 7PM EST
This team is so much better at home.
Nic was a significant missing piece those first dozen games
MCW doesn't do anything shiny but sure is nice to have a real PG running the bench show
Towns is a paper mache defender. But if Dwight will play like that every game I will shut up and be happy.

Re: Hornets vs Timberwolves 7PM EST
Well played guys
Made KAT accountabe most trips on defense. Not the first team and last. He just won player of the week but i was almost ok with this because last 2 games he's tightened up some real issue's he has as a player. Dwight worked him down. just fought for everything. won a lot of second chance points. KAT needs to catch on and pay attention to every defensive win.
Why did Monk only play some garbage minutes? Dog house or injured? Or maybe match ups?
Good as well because Walker has been beasting, had a reasonable quiet night but Lamb/Frank came out and played well.
Defense really tight, MKG went from bothering wiggins to bothering Butler all game. Not trying to troll but you have a pretty good team in there somewhere. Consistency or coach? You are not the 11th best team on the east.

Yes.
We are just coming off a 6 game losing streak in which we blew 4 double digit 4th quarter leads. Some of that is game to game inconsistency. Some of that is on the coaching staff. Some of that is simply guys like Nic Batum just trying to come back from injury and us trying to incorporate him (and Dwight) back into the offense. At the end of that streak, I was calling for Clifford to be fired, and I think the wins over LAC and MIN probably saved his job unless we revert right back to our old ways. Kemba deserves better.

Re: Hornets vs Timberwolves 7PM EST
Heard a radio interview with Cliff that would've made this board proud. He said to get better they have to do three things: (1) force more TOs, (2) shoot more threes, and (3) play at a faster pace.
