Wow! Watched NCAA games and before hitting the pillow stopped by. Forgot about this game...geez! Really hope I can find a replay. Griz really need a huge fine from the league. Their tank is beyond obvious. Have a feeling the lottery process will be refined again after this disaster. Only way to keep it is to make an example out of everyone; reward our long suffering franchise with the #1 pick!

No matter, congrats Kemba on a monster performance. I see MKG couldn’t get more than 19 minutes....
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Going to mess with the point differential math. ;)
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

and we are now tied with LAL for the 11th pick... Rooting for this franchise is pretty much unbearable.

I think i can make a tanking exception for this game. kemba had the best game of his career, none of the players i dont like played and we beat someone by 61.

better lose the next 10 games though.

Yeah, there was no way to avoid tonights win. The problem is Clifford gunning for the win against Brooklyn when we were down big late in the game and could have just closed with the young guys and almost certainly lose, but instead we make a big comeback for absolutely no reason and get put in a position where this unavoidable win moves us back in the draft.

Wow. Definitely didn't expect a 61-point win, but hey! I'll take it...

Kemba would've put up about 65 points if he played 38-40 minutes. How 'bout Bacon getting the most PT and doing a good job, too (I guess everyone really did a good job for the Hornets to win by all of the points).

I think Clifford like Bacon as much as MKG lately. If Clifford is still our coach going into next season expect Bacon to either be challenging MKG for the starting spot during training camp or stealing almost half of MKG’s minutes.

I'd be pretty good with that.

So, haven't watched a full game in a while, but had to queue up a 61 point beatdown. Not quite done watching, and obviously Memphis' embarrassing lineup made our entire team look good, but I really liked what I saw from Bacon and Willy. Bacon just looks like he belongs in the league. Have been a fan since he was seeing burn early season. Willy's also looked really strong. Sure, he's a bit slow footed laterally, but he's not necessarily slow - he runs the floor well, has soft/quick hands, and plays with an intentional physicality we sometimes lack (saw him drop his shoulder into guys repeatedly). Really promising. Oh - our cheerleaders remain smoking hot.

Bacon did a better job of staying ready than Monk did. I’ll give him credit for that.

Absolutely. I like Monk, but nothing he's done has really moved me out of wait-and-see mode. Bacon comes across as quite a bit more focused and purposeful on the court - to me, he's got a bit of a Joe Johnson thing going.

EDIT: Funny. Maybe Bacon planted that seed: http://www.wfnz.com/articles/news/hornets-rookie-dwayne-bacon-i-try-compare-myself-joe-johnson
