Fat really summed up why Kemba is number one with a good breakdown on the rest of the field. I think it's pretty obvious who the contenders for best player are, I'm interested in everyone's favorites from the Hornets 'middle class'. I'll list my personal top 5, all-time team, personal favorites.

For me it's Rice, kinda like a MVP award he was the best player on the best teams. The Hornets Hardball era arrived with little fanfare and dramatically overachieved. The minutes that Rice and Mase pulled were incredible. It probably shortened their primes and careers, but they both gave Charlotte everything they had and helped us overachieve to 2 consecutive 50+ win seasons for a franchise that's tallied 3 total in ~30 seasons.
