Well, we were all a bit optimistic here. I didn't post back then, but I was fully expecting a win total in the high 40's or better. I was convinced that the Hornets actually were going to have a good bench and that Howard would have a good year. I also thought that Monk was going to be inconsistent but would be a difference maker throughout the course of the season.

I was wrong on almost every count.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

I missed badly on a few predictions, mostly the wins and playoffs.

At the beginning of the season, I really thought Lamb would get more minutes than he has. Looking around the league and seeing guys like JR Smith getting near 30 minutes a game, I really think we're holding Lamb back here.

MCW was a big disappointment for me. I felt like we'd provide him an opportunity to shine and his shooting was historically bad.

All in all, this season was a huge disappointment to me.
The Charlotte Hornets will win their first round series against the Boston Celtics in the 2021 Playoffs

I thought the same thing as Clifford going into the season but I remained skeptical because I knew Clifford was a poor coach that would play the wrong players and the wrong schemes which would lead to us being in a hole going into New Year’s hoping we can change our fortunes around ASB. It’s been the same pattern every season under Clifford.
