I voted Maximize

to me the most sustainable path for a small mkt team like CHA is via depth plus organic growth

but that is a tricky path without excellent management

signing Batum to max, trading a first for 1 yr of Belinelli did long term damage

still, the addition of a functional backup PG might have made this team a playoff team the last two years

I hope new GM and Coach are steps in the right direction

Based on everything Borrego said in the presser I think he really does like a lot of what this team has. Athletically I think we are pretty talented and we have some players who have good length.

One of the biggest issues with Clifford was inability to create unique lineups (outside of 2 pgs). I think we should push everyone up a position and play small, not at every positions but we have the ability.

Small ball positions
1. Kemba
2. Monk
3. Lamb, bacon
4. Marv, mkg, Batum
5. Howard, Zeller, Frank, Wily

Getting rid of Howard and playing Frank at the spreads the floor and allows to play the faster pace JB wants.

Not many teams have a 4 that would punish Batum or MkG on defense. Lamb is long enough he can guard 3s and same with Bacon. We most likely lose Graham.

Makes sense to draft another combo guard. SGA, Walker, Sexton, Zhaire Smith. More playmaking and shooting on the wings.

I voted all about development, as I’d prefer that route. I believe the team will “maximize” for the most part. Too difficult to make all the changes needed at one time. Interesting to see what JB can do with this bunch. Doesn’t mean they won’t try to make some trades. And if it starts going nowhere, they could turn sellers at the trade deadline.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Voted for a rebuild but don't really want a complete rebuild just to trade Kemba for an extra lottery pick and if we can get rid of one bad contract with it (MKG or Marvin). I also would look to offload Howard for something positive if possible. If not, buy him out.

With the extra pick I feel like we could rebuild quicker. I just don't see us being anywhere but middle of the road if we resign Kemba to a max contract.
