arm length =/= defense is all i'm saying... its nice to note, but the reason why i hate the combine is because people give way too much value to stuff like that
oh and a guy not being able to guard HoF players doesn't dismiss him when the amount of people who can guard said HoF players is smaller than a typical grocery list

Am I really going to have to convince you that Rudy Gay is miles ahead of any SF we've used in the past 10 years?
I don't see why that's relevant. You were making a point about relative measurable of top SFs in a draft discussion. I'm honestly just curious why Gay came to your mind, especially considering the guys you left off.
It really wasn't a well thought out list. I looked at draft measurements of various SFs over the past years and picked out these guys who found success in the NBA. There are obviously some SFs I left out that are better than Gay. Paul George and Gordon Hayward are both better SFs and have small wingspans, but there ability to score in multiple ways trumps what most opposition is capable of.
Why this matters when discussing Hutchsion is because he has been in school for 4 years and his upside is minimized. His body is not going to grow very much more and that is a problem. He is a small lanky 3 who can play an oversized 2. So, are we going to have Monk keep running the point and we can fit him in at the 2?
Seems like you may have looked only for the guys with arms longer 7'1"
