Collin Sexton – Jeff Teague

Collin Sexton is an athletic point guard with great size and speed. He’s 6’3 and has a 6’7 wingspan. His style of play resembles that of Derrick Rose and John Wall. He uses flashy dribble moves to get past defenders and finish strong at the rim. His three point is serviceable at the next level but he prefers to work mid range. His pressure on ball defense is very good and is something similar to Patrick Beverley’s. He’ll likely to be a starter in the league but probably not a superstar unless he improves his jumpshot drastically. He doesn’t have the most fundamentally sound game and takes a lot of ill advised shots. He’s quick and shifty with the ball but can’t finish above the rim like other freak athletic point guards. More of a shooting guard in a point guard’s body.

High potential like SGA. In other words, forget about them coming here.

If they are both on the board, who do you take between Sexton and Trae Young?

Anyone taking Sexton?

This, but it's close for me.

In a vacuum Trae has the better modern NBA offensive tools with the 3s and passing, but I don't see mental toughness in him. Odds are against him ever being a good defender.

Sexton seems to be more of a winner to me ... but I strongly suspect that he would be like Kemba 2.0 and the gamble would be on him improving his shot and vision the way Kemba did. No guarantee that he can do that.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody
