Ranking top 10 worst contracts, these 2 would be in there I think?

I would only say yes depending on what we do with the picks we acquired. Even tho they are irrelevant it wouldn't bother me if we decide to at least use the picks.

Like Dwight's contract was bad but at least it was going to end when we'd have to pay Kemba his actual value. Now we have this 16 mil bill for 2019/20 that provides about as much production as Tyler Hansborough

There are a lot of comparably bad contracts, the Wolves have two of them:

Joakim Noah
Luol Deng
Ian Mahinmi
Gorgui Dieng
Ryan Anderson
Bismack Biyombo
Miles Plumlee
Andrew Wiggins
Brandon Knight
Danilo Gallinari
Chandler Parsons

Out of this list, I'd say only Noah, Deng, Parsons are worse.

Honestly, I think Batum's contract only became bad because he had one down year after injury in the pre-season. And he had to come back and adjust playing with that hissyfit crybaby Dwight.

I'm hoping that a year from now, Batum came back to form, we're in the playoffs, and his contract doesn't seem all that bad.
Who I woulda took:
2023: Miller | 2022: Duren | 2021: Bouknight, Jones | 2020: Ball | 2019: PJ | 2018: MPJ | 2017: Monk | 2016: Damian Jones | 2015: Winslow | 2014: Vonleh, Napier | 2013: McLemore | 2012: MKG | 2011: Knight, Kawhi

Mosgov is a really bad contract but we did get rid of Dwight and received some draft capital out of it. So it’s not as bad as if we signed him right now in a vacuum. He may even play decently for us.

Batum is actually a fairly good player, just overpaid. He was hurt all year and I think he bounces back to have a productive year this time , especially minus Dwight.

I don’t think either contract is the “worst”

Mozgov is probably bottom 10. There are worse players on even worse contracts though- Noah, Dieng, Deng, Parsons come to mind immediately. Batum is very much overpaid, but his production will keep him out of that bottom rung of contracts. The final 30 games of this season wasn't far off from where he usually is. He put up 12/6/5 on 43/38/86. If that continues moving forward, it's still a very big contract that we should dump for an expiring, but it's not an albatross that you give up assets to move.
