Spam on RealGM out of control

I use the real GM app on my phone. They've made a lot of improvements. The embedded tweets now show up. I never have any issues with ads or anything that's bothersome on the app. When pulling it up on a desktop I just use Adblock and I never have any problems. I absolutely refuse to pull it up on my mobile browser though.

I am so glad this was posted. The only time I get that annoying pop up is on my mobile when I'm on here, but I started wondering if my phone had some malware or something because it was every...single...time I logged on here.

Happy to know that my phone isn't compromised. Haha

I agree, this pop up stuff is just ridiculous. Can the mods forward the thread to however runs this site? It definitely makes me come on here much less then I would.

That Amazon ad is probably the main reason I gave up on mobile access to the site. I'm sure it's not limited to RealGM, but this is the only site I go to where I see it.

Brave mobile browser doesn't allow ads to pop up. I'd recommend using it for all your browsing on mobile. For desktop chrome with ublock origin extension is good.

I was starting to think this was just me, but yes it’s unbearable. I’ve only started posting again since I downloaded the RealGM app. No pop ups. It’s not the prettiest app but it works. Will have to check out the Brave browser.

Development is aware and supposedly working on a solution. Lots of complaints in the mod board.
