I think there's more upside on this team than it gets credit for.

My initial thought was Lamb or Monk in a more expanded role, but if Zeller comes out knocking down threes (I think he's way more capable than MKG) then he could be a dark horse. Frank made some noticeable improvement last season shooting/scoring-wise and still has plenty of room for improvement, but I went with Bridges. I think he's going to end up being too good not to start and will finally give us that exciting rookie season that always seems to elude this franchise.

It’s gotta be Monk, Bacon or Willy. MKG, Cody and maybe even Frank have all shown who they really are at this point. Would be great to see one of them break out, but just by the simple fact Monk and Bacon will be main rotation guys and seeing what Monk did at the end of last season leads me to believe it’ll be Monk and then Bacon.

41% fans voted for Monk.

I believe the front office sees it the same way. Borrego raved about Monk's shooting and showed confidence the offense can play through him for stretches. That means he has #1 scorer potential.

The organization also drafted a point guard, scheduled with Tyreke and keeps saying they want to add a ballhandler in the backcourt.

The goal is to free up Monk now! As in right now!

I changed my mind, the breakout player will be Monk. I just watched all of his summer sit downs/interviews and there is something different about him this year. He seems so much more relaxed and comfortable. He also looks like he has put in major work on his body. He's ready for the season to start right now.

I just hope the coaches impress upon him that this is summer league, dont go so hard that you end up injuring yourself. The NBA season is a marathon, not a sprint. He should be strongly encouraged to take some time off once summer camp is over.

I hope Monk but I think we are going to really see Willy break out. With Dwight gone and Cody always being injured he could really surprise people. He also worked on his body over the summer and lost some weight. His determination and decision to stay and impress the coaches in summer league should go a long way!

I think this is the year Marvin really shows why he was the 2nd overall pick ahead of CP3

Marvin is 32. Batum is 29. They may have a bounce back from their awful years last year, but I don't think you are going to see them "Break out". They are what they are at this point.

Zeller (25)/Lamb(26)/Kaminksy(25)/MKG(24)/Willy(24) are all in or entering their prime. Should interesting to see if one of them can take the next step.

Parker is going to be spoon feeding Monk. Parker is a little slower, but he never relied on athleticism. He's an opportunist and about as smart as they come when making quick decisions. Has he ever shared the court with someone who can open up space like Monk? Monk can create offense from negative space. He's a dang ninja.

Time for some to recast their vote.

Borrego himself said he has the ability to be one of the elite shooters in the league. The separation he creates with head fakes and step backs is so smooth and natural, he's really fun to watch.

The bench stood for much of the first quarter. They looked thoroughly entertained to witness him. I could see nice chemistry budding between Graham and Monk. They were the engine and they made things happen. Monk really had fun out there playing off ball. The Thunder absolutely swarmed him. But because of his game, the Hornets were able to win despite a weak frontcourt. Monk also looked like he could have taken over at any time if called upon. But he played within himself and involved his teammates. If surrounded by better finishers, his assist total would've been much more representative of his impact. At the very least, he is the go-to gun on the second unit. He'll push for closer minutes and #2 option on the first unit before the season's over. His efficiency will go up in this system. He'll get better shots, especially playing alongside Parker vs MCW.
