Well if this trash signing is true then the best part of it is that Graham will beat this washed up dude out for our backup PG job by about the midway point of the season!

Hints at.them really loving Graham. Also hints at the limited minutes available there because SG is all Lamb + Monk.

Agreed. Not bringing anyone ahead of Graham for years, he can get great advices from Parker and grow into the reserve PG role in a slow but not too slow tempo.

Parker has been in some Kawhi controversy lately but it's hard to beat championship experience as a mentor and locker room guy as long as the Leonard thing is an outlier and Parker accepts that he probably won't get many actual minutes on the court and his role is to tutor Graham, I'm not confident that is what Tony has in mind.

Yeah I have a hard time believing it was just him coming off his quad injury and not the fact that he’s old as **** for a PG.

He only needs to make the smart pass to Monk, Miles, Kaminsky, Hernangomez, take care of the ball and hit the open shot, all with plenty of rest. He has to stay within himself, not showboat and play within the system. This is a very safe bet.

Parker's new role will be to exploit, not to create. He's always excelled at finding holes. His wisdom is an aspect of.his game that should defy age and diminished quickness. He's a quick decision maker. Always will be.

I don’t think Napier or his agent was interested in being casted in Kemba’s shadow like the college days after the season he had last year in Portland. I’d suspect them to try to land somewhere where the starting PG position is up in the air or questionable on a multiyear deal.

I agree MKG needs to fall out of the rotation at this point. Unless there's an injury, foul trouble, etc we need to give those minutes to others. I

Well, I did put him on my list but the top 2 are still available and I'd say there is a big drop off between Napier/Chalmers and Parker. At 5 mil a year, this signing was a head scratcher for me.

Shabazz to Nets on 2 year deal with team option on the 2nd. This TP deal looking worse by the day.

If you think Tony Parker still has something left in the tank, the deal looks pretty good. If you think otherwise then it doesn't. I personally agree with the former. The worst case is he sucks and we get to quickly see Devonte. Not too bad, considering most of our contracts don't expire for another 2-3 years.

The problem is our highest paid player and new coach may be looking through rose tinted glasses towards Tony Parker. If that's the case, Graham will be lucky to overcome Tony by Year 2. It's a strange situation to put yourself in.
