This Should be our starting lineup

Post#1 » by HornetsFan29 » Sun Nov 18, 2018 3:57 pm

Kemba
Monk
Bridges
MKG
Biz

Bench
Parker
Lamb
Batum
Marv
Cody

Biz would be a better option starting at Center cause atleast he can play defense and block shots so that be an upgrade over Cody right there and it would be nice to have our two best defenders on the court at the same time in Biz and MKG guarding the paint.

Agree or disagree?

Just no. Monk and Biz would make sure we'd never win a game. Monk's defense is crap and his shooting is brutal. Yeah, he can hit a sweet shot every now and then, but it sure doesn't make me forget about all his duds like last night. Biz starting has got to be a joke. Not even going to go there.

We need start tweaking with the starting lineup. A frontcourt of Zeller, Marvin & Batum is too devoid of offensive talent

Whether it's a small change like Bacon over Batum or Miles over Marvin... or going small and starting Parker at the 2 and Lamb at the 3... or even doing a full-on switchup like rolling with a Kemba-Lamb-MKG-Miles-WHG lineup. Change has to be made.

Disagree.

Replace Monk with Lamb and I’m with you. Batum and Monk should be dual 6th men. Batum should be used as a bench guy that could spot every position from PG to PF and Monk should be used as a scoring spark off the bench.

Monk is definitely a bench player. We give up way too much on defense with him in there. Bridges shouldn't be starting but Batum isn't cutting it, and I'm ready to make a change for the sake of making a change. We are starting badly every game. Starting Biz only makes sense against a big man like Whiteside or Howard otherwise it's Zeller every time.

Kemba/Lamb/Bridges/MKG/Zeller
Parker/Monk/Batum/Frank/Hernangomez
Graham/Bacon/__?/Marvin/Biz

When Batum and Monk are playing like ass, get Bacon some minutes. Try both Frank and Marvin off the bench and stick with whoever has their shot going

I think keeping Miles/MKG on the 2nd unit would be ideal for them at the moment, but we can't keep relying on Batum expecting anything but disappointment. Bridges can knock down open shots and is actually a threat attacking 4v3 and 3v2 situations when teams sell out against Kemba. Batum just doesn't do anything to make teams pay in these situation and he also doesn't really defend.

Trade Biz + 2nd round picks for George Hill

Kemba/Hill/Parker
Lamb/Monk
Miles/Batum/Bacon
Marv/MKG/Frank
Cody/WHG

Yes, move Hill to starting 2 and Lamb to the 3. Batum should get like 5 minutes.

Batum hasn't been that bad. Hes a decent rotational player. Hes fine as backup option that we aren't relying on to be a big contributor on a nightly basis. He would benefit from reduced minutes, less pressure, and playing against backups.

Lets just have faith in a young guy other than PJ Hairston for once and get the ball rolling on Miles development.

As much as I love Biz he's good for spot minutes only. Half the games are bad match ups b/c of small ball centers and the other half are **** up by the refs calling ticky tack fouls. Biz can only really play against big men that the refs don't care for like Whiteside.

I'd go:

Kemba
Monk/Lamb
Bacon
MKG
Zeller

Parker
Lamb/Monk
Miles
Marv
Hernanslowmez/Biz/Frank depending on match up.

Batum can DNP-CD for the rest of the year for all I care. The saddest thing is I think Bacon is the closest we've got to giving Kemba somebody that can create his own shot but not do dumb **** constantly (Batum) or defend like a headless chicken (Lamb).

Kemba-Tony
Lamb-Monk
Miles-Nic
Marvin-MKG
Cody-Willy

*MKG plays more than Marvin unless Marvin is hot from 3.
** Willy will play more than Cody based on matchup and how they're playing
*** Tony/Monk/Nic will play more than Miles/Lamb based on matchups and how their playing.
**** if Cody is getting pushed around by bigger centers Biz plays over Willy.
***** Bacon plays over Monk/Nic if they suck.

Honestly Devonte Graham in the lineup instead of Batum works better...Graham can defend and pass and neither can shoot, Batum offers 1 3 pointer a game and not much else

The starters are good players but as a unit lack energy and intensity needed to start strong. I love Marvin near the basket but not as much on the edge.

Starters

Kemba
Lamb
MKG
Batum
Zeller

or

Kemba
Lamb
MKG
Batum
Marvin
