JB don’t love him either but he has to play him if he want to make the playoffs. Remember Biz was DNP-CD until Cody got hurt and Willy starting looked like a epic failure.

I trust Borrego to learn from past mistakes. I think WHG is donezo once Cody returns.

A wins a win. Definitely more scary than it should have been though, but it was good to see Monk, Biz and Marv come up huge in those closing minutes.

Monk seems like the kind of player that learns and improves by playing consistent minutes, not during practice.

It's pretty wild that even when Willy gets yanked we go with Marv at the 5 and not Frank. JB is super not into Frank.

Say what you will about Monk's inconsistency and inefficiency, but hes still ahead of where Kemba was at the same age and I think he has more natural talent (although I think people always underestimated Kemba's talent level).

His shooting splits after this game are 39.6/34.6/89.9 and are trending upwards. Not bad for a scrawny 21 year old who takes a lot of difficult shots and is only halfway through his 2nd season.

Yep, I’ve definitely changed my mind on him and withdraw all of my fake trades where he was involved.

It’s why I would make a terrible gm.

His numbers don't jump off the page at you or anything, but its cool that hes making strides and finding ways to be productive while being forced to play within the context of a team actually trying to win basketball games.

Its not like Trae Young situation where he has an entire franchise catering to him and doing everything they can to showcase his talent. We don't really do a lot to cater to Monk and his talent still really shines at times.

Tuned into ESPN to see if they were gonna show any of the OKC/MIA game.

They were showing highlights. Our highlights came on. Michael Wilbon said Tony Parker could really help a playoff team -- you mean like us, ***hole? -- and Jalen Rose's dumbass said that we should enjoy Kemba while we can.

So, I guess I will go back to never watching the NBA on ESPN again.

Jalen is an idiot.

Imperative we win 6 of our next 8, at the least if we want to make the playoffs. Very doable, and the schedule gets a little rough after that.

My theory is that Frank keeps stealing JB's Dapper Dan pomade for himself. That's all I got.

What a game. Who would have thought that a trio of Monk, Marv and Biz would be the difference makers?

I'm still lmao at Biz bouncing that pass off Batum's dome. Bizvydas Sabombo is the GOAT.

Memphis totally got screwed by the refs there at the end, not gonna lie.

I haven't watched a minute of NBA on ESPN since moving overseas (almost 5yrs now) and I haven't missed it one bit. Show was garbage even back then and I only hear complaints suggesting it continues to slide downhill.

The only expertise Jalen Rose should be sharing is how he managed to lose every big game he ever played at both the NCAA/NBA levels.

Dont know if its been mentioned already, but I saw Mitch at the game on tv. Is he normally there and they just don't show him that often....or was it because Gasol/Memphis was in town?

I think he's usually there, but I'd be happy if it was for a special reason this time.

If he was there to watch Gasol you can bet his offer just got lower. Gasol didn't play much better than Hernangomez.
