I am glad we did not make this deal. I would now almost prefer that we ride these bad contracts out and develop the young guys the next 2 years. However, I am not sure how we sign Kemba unless we move a bad contract. It will be interesting to see if anything happens in the next 15 minutes..

I mean, I'd trade Biz or Cody + our 1st for JVal in a second, and I'd love to have Delon Wright and CJ Miles as well.

I mean, I'd trade Biz or Cody + our 1st for JVal in a second, and I'd love to have Delon Wright and CJ Miles as well.

I probably wouldnt give a 1st for Val, but my main thought is that i dont see the point of Memphis picking up Val and Miles when they are close to being a tanking team in the West.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Grizzlies sent Gasol to Toronto as a personal favor to him. He wouldn't get out of the 1st round with us. He's at the end of his career, he wants more than that.

Fair, yeah from a long term strategy perspective for them it's odd. Apparently JVal and Wright have a PO, and they could all come off the books. Maybe that's the play?
