B

We didn't do anything rash (like we have done in the past) that resulted in us over committing financially or losing any of our young talent (Bridges, Monk, Graham).

And you can't make a jelly sandwich out of cow sh*t - so for those lamenting about not trading Kaminksy for something I'd say.......he's not worth anything. You can't trade something of no value and expect to get something of value back.

We just have to ride this roster out for 2 more seasons, hope like hell to hit on a draft pick between now and then (or Bridges, Monk or Graham to explode) then reset with a fresh outlook in 2021.

I have heard people say Kaminsky wasnt worth **** and that maybe possible but Mike Muscala has value but Kaminsky is trash? it seems like players are only trash when they play for the Hornets

There is a lot to factor in on these trades. Mitch needs to think beyond the next 30 or so games and into next year and the year after. The best plan may actually be to resign Kemba and set ourselves up to pair him with a star as opportunities come up during the next season or off season.

If we plan on him being here for 5 more years or whatever, then we can’t sacrificr 19-20 or 20-21 just to be a little better the rest of this season.

Lamb and Frank expiring have value to us. The rest of the overpaid guys we have expiring next season give us even more flexibility than before. I know this is the optimistic version, but there is a lot of logic to it when you think beyond this one season where we aren’t winning a series no matter what happens short or injuries to the team we play.

The bucks gave up Thon Maker, Jason Smith and 4 seconds for Mirotic. Not saying they gave up a ton, but it wasn’t peanuts.

they got two 2nds from Washington, a late 2nd from Milwaukee, and a Denver 2nd that only conveys if they pick 56-60.

Pelicans got Stanley Johnson, a former lottery wing on expiring deal. They needed wings really bad. Also Jason smith was expiring.

We didn’t have an expendable wing and expiring to deal. Let alone 4 seconds.

You mean other than Lamb/Frank and all the seconds we've acquired in the Dwight experience?

I didn't realize the Bucks traded 4 2nds for Mirotic. That probably makes it a little better. As others have mentioned, a move like picking up Mirotic would likely result in us getting beat in the 1st round which is likely anyhow, so to lose 4 2nds to just get out of a year of a contract like Marvin's wouldn't be worth it in that instance. Just hope Kemba understands if we don't make the playoffs, that we just did what was best for the future of the team and a minor setback this year will be better going forwards.
The Charlotte Hornets will win their first round series against the Boston Celtics in the 2021 Playoffs

I wouldn’t trade Lamb, Frank and 4 seconds for Mirotic.

Also doubt pelicans would of taken back Marvin or mkg contracts in return.

The only thing that sucks is that there was no miracle acquisition that would entice Kemba to stay (again, probably wasn't likely) and not moving Frank to a better situation b/c he's been a trooper.

I would agree if I didn't see all the other crappy trades around the league.

Maybe he tried and nobody wanted our chit? :dontknow:

Or he was too busy trying to swing the Gasol trade that all the little deals sifted through the cracks already.

It does suck that they couldn't get a 2nd or something for Frank. I don't even like Frank's game and I feel bad for him.

Went with a C-

- Glad we didn't make a panic trade, kept Monk and Miles
- Confused at how we didn't manage to trade Frank
- Disappointed that we didn't' trade for Gasol (we could've beat Torontos trade IMO.)

Besides that, we could've gotten one of the value players that were traded. Bullock was dirt cheap and would've fit great.
