Why are Magic fans on our game thread? Confused.

I mean, you said he was mailing it in and quit on the team back in January, but then he played better and the "he quit cause he wants out of Charlotte" talk stopped. I just think it's one of the ultimate insults to a guy like Kemba to say he's only in it for himself and once he gets his award he's going to quit on his team and this fanbase.

I do think Kemba has focus issues from time to time where he can't get his game on track, but I don't think that's because he doesn't care anymore. He mentioned in an interview a while back that he'd get depressed about his own play and start doubting himself, and he'd have a hard time snapping out of it. I think that's much more likely the case than that he knows he could play better but just doesn't care to.

I think the close losses earlier this season including the philly losses really derailed this season. We had a bit of a turn around after that’s san Antonio win, but they blew that clippers game and mentally seem wiped since that. Including Kemba.

Kemba had 37 34 and 30 the next 3 games after the Clippers debacle.

You didn’t read correct sir. I said that Kemba was unmotivated and yes I do still believe he’s leaving Charlotte after this season unless some unforeseen events happen.

I bumped the old posts for your due diligence of reference.

Now attack the posters that said that it appears that he’s mailed it in and let me continue being correct.

There is no such thing as an unmotivated competitor.

I already pointed out how you said he mailed it in in January, but stopped saying that once he started playing better and clearly hadn't actually mailed it in.

I also mentioned how Kemba himself talked about why he has lulls and how he gets down in himself, but I guess you're sticking with the take that you know better and Kemba's just a baby who quits on his team, doesn't have the heart or competitive drive to keep at it.

Show me where I said that he mailed it in. I said that he’s coasting into the ASB. You don’t know what you’re talking about and you often don’t.

You agreed with all of the mess that put us in this situation of cap hell and no outlook. You don’t have the right to express your opinions as if they’ll lead to a brighter pasture lol.

You serious?

"But if my eye test, gut instincts, and body language reader is correct he’s just tryna get this season over with so he can head into free-agency. Mentally hes almost already gone from Charlotte or at least the bags are packed."

"You’re looking at a guy that’s coasting and unmotivated."

"Kemba wasn’t really trying...He just wasn’t into it."

"more than likely he plays it safe the rest of the season trying to avoid injury so that he can get his first legit big payday."

You've been on the "Kemba's over Charlotte" train for a while.

And I never once supported selling seconds or dumping picks, don't know where that's coming from.

ETA: Are you trying to draw a distinction between mailing it in and coasting? Because those seem like exactly the same thing to me.

They don’t.

Unmotivated competitor coasting and likely won’t be returning to Charlotte.

The bags are packed, just playing not to get injured = he's gone

It's fine if you believe that, also fine if you don't. I'm just real surprised you're acting like you don't believe that when you seemed to so clearly think it was the case.

Do you think he's done in Charlotte or not?

I firmly believe that he’s done in Charlotte but Charlotte has a few advantages and factors that play into their hands that could alter his course. I’ve explained it numerous times.

But more than likely he’s gone.

If Kyrie takes too long to decide whether he wants to go to LA or New York it could make Kemba feel like he’s not a priority and make him return to Charlotte where he’s wanted. Also a surprisingly deep run into the playoffs could change Kemba’s course.

So you think he's gone and have talked many times about how he's coasting, but are choosing to put to a fight over "mailing it in"? I don't get that.

Mailing it in would mean that he’s quit already. I don’t believe that he’s quit on the team yet otherwise I would’ve said that there’s no chance we make the playoffs. I believe that he’s not motivated and he’ll either find a spark within himself to try to make the playoff push or he’ll just well...”mail it in”.
