to be honest I miss Cliff I now know what he went thru with this roster and now see why players like Monk never saw the floor cause they can't play a lick of defense if their life depended on it.

I’m a Nets fan. I hope Kemba signs with them this offseason. I can’t stand by this nonsense.

Monk isn’t seeing the floor for the same reasons MKG isn’t seeing the floor. Their offense is putrid.

I think a lot of it has to do with his lineups, most significantly, choosing to continually play Batum and Marvin this entire season even though they have arguably been two of our worst performers the entire year. Batum doesn't try and he doesn't produce. Marvin at least tries, but he just can't produce at a meaningful level anymore.

How many times do you have to end the first quarter down by double digits before you realize that they are a problem? What has Batum done to average more minutes this season than everyone else on the team besides Kemba? Why has just about everyone's playing time been dicked around with the entire season while Batum and Marvin remain stalwarts in our starting lineup? WTF.

This team is a slow motion train wreck. Sadly we had the one season with some magic in it (the Lin era) which produced a trip to the playoffs, and therefore our decision to extend Batum and Marvin at high salaries. Bad drafting has produced mediocre production. Our new coach seems as lost as any other mediocre coach in the league. I suppose the Spurs tree isn’t sprouting a mighty oak here.

Tank, tank, tank folks. Only hope is luck there with a high lottery pick. I said we should have been sellers at the trade deadline.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

MKG would see the floor if Cliff was here cause of his defense.

asfor Monk he is useless can't shoot or play defense which is why he was in cliff's dog house.

I'm with you on this. Its bemusing that Lamb has been the only guy all season to score consistently other than Kemba while Nic and Marv regularly play like crap, but Lamb gets moved to the bench.

I don't care how much a guy gets paid, if you aren't helping the team you should be benched. Marv tries but hes not up to NBA standard anymore.

Batum is a whole other story. If he was any more passive he would be dead.

He was coming around mid season. Right around the trade deadline actually. Shortly after that, he regressed to sloppy, poor shot selection, out of control madness for like a week or so straight. Remember everyone freaking out if he had been included in the Gasol trade?

I still have faith he can turn it around given his age and ball handling/athleticism. He needs to work on shot selection and patience.

Why not just go with

kemba / Graham
Lamb
Bacon
Frank
Hernangomez

To end the season... There is no hope for Monk or bridges (who I wish we would trade for YuTa an d Pinson). They might still have some trade value giventhey went so high in the draft.

Or is Mitch gonna start a new thing? PAC guards? ACC wings?

Cho isn’t the GM anymore.

So Mitch might start a new thing. I’ll guess ACC wings. Take your pick of Nassir Little, Deandre Hunter, or Nickeil Alexander-Walker.

Good thing you’re not a GM. Giving up on a couple 21-year-olds, one a rookie who has shown promise.

Oh of course he wants Pinson. Wonder why. Can we move Lamb for Ed Cota and Joseph Forte? Maybe swing a Batum-for-Felton deal?

Every year it’s “tank for this future star,” then it’s “tank for that future star.” Until we get a capable coach and some cap room, it doesn’t matter who we pick. They won’t be stars. We can only hope they are of some value. Bridges is of value to us. He just won’t be a star. He also won’t get a lot of points when Nic and Marv are in bricklaying contests.

Why do I get the feeling you won’t say this after we pick Nassir Little in June and he’s no better?

Our team has been beyond underwhelming this year. Really disappointing. This game basically summed up the entire season: set up for us to win, but somehow we can't overcome a single obstacle or make an adjustment, and ultimately we performed worse than our sorry opponent(s) both tonight and throughout the year. Could've easily been a 5-6 seed based on what the Eastern Conference became in 2018-19, but couldn't even begin to figure it out. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I mean there’s nothing more to say.

Wish we can fast forward to the nba draft and skip the next three months

It's officially time to tank.

84 points LMAO. If you can't make it to 85 points in 2019, you should be credited with two losses.

I am actually not that much of a UNC homer. i loved McBob who was one of my favorite Bobcats. I also didn't mind us drafting Henderson (wasn't much of a fan of his but thought it was the best option)

I have also been in favor of us trading Marvin for the longest.

I just don't see the potential in Monk at all. There is SOME in Bridges, but I would use that SOME for trade bait.

I am not in favor of us drafting Little. Even when I do my draft rankings if you were to pay attention I never favor Tar Heels. They are always where I feel they belong. There are so many players I would draft over little.

I do like Graham and Bacon. (not so much that they will be that productive, but they can be insurance pieces).

Time to tank it out for sure. Kemba needs an "injury" and whaalaa, we go 1-16
