Biz has been hustling like a maniac the last few games. He deserves to keep his starting spot even when Zeller returns.

It’s definitely looking like that. I think Sean May would’ve been able to do it too if not for the bum knee. But I can’t think of another rookie we had who looked this good this soon. Okafor had zero range but was a much better rebounder/blocker. PJ has a load of potential beyond this too.

What do you think it would take? Rozier and Marvin/MkG get it done? He’s a UFA who isn’t resigning with Detroit.

i am 100% sarcastic. if drummond can't beat biyombo at his own 1993 game then i don't want him. dude is fake stats and moves the needle nowhere

I feel like he’d be a good fit on this team but I would rather we sign him next offseason unless we wouldn’t need to give up much now. We still can’t rebound worth a damn.

I'd take Drummond for expirings and a future pick. No way I'd give up any player of value because that's be a lateral move that would only handcuff us further. Something like MKG & Marvin & lotto protected 1st(not 2022).

I tuned in maybe midway through the third quarter, but didn't get around to posting in the game thread. From what I watched, Washington was great, showing off that great touch both around the rim and from 3pt. When Monk fouled that three-point shooter and it turned into a four-point play for them and we went cold for a bit, I figured that was that, but we somehow managed to come back with a burst to end the game and some fortunate plays going our way. That block by Biyombo was huge. I still don't get why some people hate on the guy. He always gives you great defensive effort and has a habit of making some really timely plays that can win you a ball game.

i don't know what anyone sees in the guy

dude is supposed to be the best rebounder in the league but against the worst rebounding team in the league, he got outworked on the glass for every meaningful possession and he couldn't even get out of his own team's way to maintain a lead late

he's not even a derrick favors tier kind of player... i actually feel bad for blake getting stuck sharing a backcourt with that guy. has he ever been better than deandre jordan?

someone else will come along. hard pass. not that desperate

Drummond is better in the half court game like the playoffs. When everything slows down, it's nice to have a guy that can be dominant. If you seriously think Biyombo can match-up against the league as good as Drummond, then I don't know what to tell you. Yeah, Drummond may have gotten outworked by an energy big, but game on the line, I know who I'd take.

I don't know what to make of Monk's last two games. He is Frank Kaminsky level inconsistent. He's also down to 28.4% from three on the season.

Really, I think the Detroit coach is just dumb. I would've been having Griffin attacking the rim all night.

Drummond and Blake are just a horrible pairing, no idea why DET thought that'd work.

anyways, on the Drummond trade I wouldn't do anything besides swapping Nic for him at this point. He is a an empty stats guy.

No, I think Biyombo is an average level backup.

Drummond is one of the few guys who plays the same old era game as him - no high switching, no pick and pop, no fancy post up moves or any of that... Its right in Drummond's comfort zone where he should dominate. Aaaaaand we've beat Detroit nine times in a row between him and Zeller. We know our bigs suck. Its factual. The fact that Drummond can't dominate us like any other all-star level big does should raise immediate questions for you guys but for whatever reason you're talking yourselves into liking him. Every legit big in the league cooks us  He doesn't.

Odds are he's just not legit.

how's blake gonna attack the rim when drummond is camped out under the rim all night?

i'd rather we just look to the draft or hold open tryouts for bigs instead of giving Drummond 100+ million

For someone who was supposedly an elite shooter coming out of college his 3 point shooting has been disappointing his entire career thus far.

He was fine up until he hurt his finger last week. Its on his shooting hand and his shot has been off since that game. He might be better off sitting out games until its better.

The thing I see with Biz is that when his confidence builds from having success doing the little things he does really well, he starts to try and do things that are a little beyond what he is capable of and then his poor play sticks out like a sore thumb.

If he can contain himself enough to play within himself and just concentrate on doing what he does well he’d be really, really good for what we need.

I think this was our best game since opening night Vs Chicago.

In that first game I was SO excited about the ball movement and how quickly were were whipping it around the arc making the extra pass or two to find open, and better, shots for each other.

Tonight was the first time I’ve seen that sort of ball movement since that 1st game.

That was super fun to watch.

I LOVE how well 3J understands how to use his length. The way he extends and explodes to the rim - so awesome. You can tell how much spacial awareness he has as well by how well he reads the game by the number of tipped passes, deflections and steals he racks up.

Great game by the Golden one, Rozier, Miles, 3J, Biz - lots of dudes contributing.

Been stuck with pie this year so I usually have to watch the opponent's broadcast team, and I just have the add that Detroit has a good duo calling their games.

I think the games we've played against them have made those two see our prospects with permanent rose-colored glasses though  They always see the young guys going off. One exchange right at the end made me feel proud/hopeful in what was supposed to be a lost 2019-2020:

Color Commentator: Between Washington and Bridges Charlotte has a stellar pair of forwards.
Play-by-Play Guy: And don't forget about those young guards either. They have a great young core of players.
Color Commentator: The future is bright in Charlotte!
