Nets broadcaster: "DEVONTE GRAHAM IS NOT HUMAN!"

Is Devonte a new Kemba that can actually close games?

Nets broadcast traumatizing me with footage from the end of that Bulls game.

I was thrilled when we got Devonte since I saw plenty of him guiding Kansas...a team I despise being a Missouri fan. But...he looked like the real deal. As a rookie he had flashes but clearly needed work. I was willing to trade Kemba at the deadline because I thought Graham would grow into a starter. Had NO idea he would be this good!

How tf did we pull off this comeback win? I turned off my stream in the 3rd quarter and just tuned in around the 4:00 mark of the 4th quarter when I saw on Twitter the score's tied.

Good win for the guys, despite Miles nearly flubbing it away. Make your FT’s dude.

Devonte is the steal of the 2018 draft. Basically the lottery pick we could never get right.

This teams ability to fight and not give up has been amazing to watch...I feel like a broken record but I don’t care...I haven’t loved our squad since Wallace and Jackson led us to the playoffs. We aren’t even that good right now but I love watching this team.

They showed a stat during the game. We are 6-2 in one possession games this season. Precious 3 seasons we are 6-23. 6-23!! Thank God we’ve finally figured out how to win close games. How is Devonte this good? I was actually happy if we went into the season with him as the starter and never acquired Terry, but that’s because I thought it would be good to get him some experience and see if he can have a role on this roster for us during a tank season. Turns out he’s out best player by a wide margin.

Always good to get a win, but......

Why are our guards continually trying to whip 1,000 m/ph last second, in traffic, shovel passes to Biz?
NEWSFLASH: HE'S NOT GOING TO CATCH THEM!!!
Should he be able to? Yes.
Does he sometimes? Yes.
Should we continue to do it? HELL NO!!
Monk does it all the time. Bridges did it twice last night. Rozier did it once last night. 99% of the time the pass is not going to stick. Stop trying to force a round peg in a square hole.

Whilst on our guards..........why do they continually fight our bigs for rebounds? Rozier does it a lot. Monk does it a lot. Graham does it often. Twin #1 does it as well. As a big myself I'd be telling the guards to leave the rebounding to me, stay the hell out of my way and just worry about boxing your guy out. I get it if it's a long rebound but rebounds that are within the area of the basket? **** off!!

These fancy shots that Bridges is trying to make shooting over his shoulder on the move have to stop. SQUARE UP OR DON'T FORCE THE SHOT!! It's something that 3J does quite well - he works to square his shoulders. Bridges is trying these spinning over the shoulder shots that are such low percentage and desperate shots.

Whilst on Bridges........has it ever actually been verified that he is left handed? Sure he shoots his J's lefty, but I swear that 99% of his drives he shoots with his right. It's a nice trick to have - but just concentrate on keeping it simple and doing what works, not what's fancy.

People get on individual players defense, but our team P&R defense is a joke. If I was an opposing coach I would just run a game plan to P&R the hell out of us. We have no idea of how to defend it. When we should go over the screen, when we should go under the screen, when we should hedge, when we should flare or fan, when we should switch. It's laughable.

Whilst on defense........Cody Z is proving to be a terrible, terrible defender. He's costing us point after point and allowing easy shots to opposing bigs because he's like a moth to a flame when someone dribbles the ball near him. He automatically leaves his man and goes ball chasing. Be accountable. Be responsible. Worry about your man. Sure the guards need to work at stopping dribble penetration better, but Cody shouldn't be leaving his man until the driving player at least starts to go into his shooting motion. Instead, Cody will leave his man and go straight to the ball as soon as anyone with the ball comes within 5 feet of the paint.

2nd qtr JB goes with another BS line up. This time it was DG - Bake - Thing #1 - MB - 3J. Thank GOD he didn't stick with it for an extended period this time - although it was long enough for Jordan to feast (again) and put up 6 quick points and get to the line because all we could do was foul him.

Loved the physicality of MKG. He might be limited, he might be cooked in Charlotte, but he still has something to give and that thing he has to give is something we sorely miss (outside of Thing #1) which is physicality.

If Graham hadn't given them the Golden Shower, we would have been toast. All hail the Golden one.

Last thought: Is that the 1st time we have worn black accents as a part of our uni? I thought they looked good with the white.

I think its pretty clear this is a development year for Miles Bridges and the coaching staff tasked him with developing wing skills and a 3 point shot. He isn't doing any of the stuff he did last year. I suppose next year is when he'll put both things together.

Defense is concerning (currently the worst defensive player in the NBA) but he's got plenty of time and it will get better with a better 5 next to him.

I'm not nearly as forgiving. We drafted him to be active, intelligent, and versatile and he's anything but that. His regression is horrendous dude. If we wanted a guy to chuck 3s and play solid defense, we could've kept Treveon Graham.

If Clifford was coaching this team Marv and Batum would be starting, Willy would be playing 20-25 mpg, and they'd have roughly the same or a worse record.

I wish I had league pass this season so I could watch more Hornets games. I decided for multiple reasons to take a step back this season and be more of a casual fan instead of obsessively following a single team and watching like a million games overall, but the Hornets are still one of my main teams (probably still 1st although I've went back to my normal state of being more invested in individual players than specific teams) and it would be nice to be able to see more of their games.

Just wondering, and you may may have mentioned it in the past, will you be attending the Hornets game in Paris this January?

Unfortunately not... Honestly, it was very hard to only be able to buy tickets, and then the tickets costs were so high (I heard about 200 or 300 euros a ticket)... So I pass this time but I will probably come sooner than later to the USA attend to a game there.

How did I miss slam referring to the end of that game as the golden shower. That is hysterical. This game of forever be known as the golden shower game. When Graham has a fantastic stretch of play from Deep, it's not a Purple Patch it's a golden shower.
