Pretty enjoyable watch (thx HeHe!):

- LaMelo’s lower body is skinny-skinny - no butts about it. He’s tremendous on the move but has little in the way of a first step – the additional burst and finishing strength he’ll get from pro training and a few more years under his belt will be huge for him. 19 years old, rail thin, and powered by junk food – ah, memories.

- Biz sprouted hands! I noticed it in the previous two games and wrote it off as a fluke, but he appears to have learned how to catch a ball.

- Was watching the Magic broadcast and let’s just say I’m grateful for Dell and Steve (edit: Jesus, Eric - living in the past)

I'm trying to change it in my mind that we got Riller at 32, Carey 42, and Richards at 56.

Yeah, if he can't play as a 19 year old after no summer league and a shortened preseason camp we should probably cut him now. Chances are he is completely trash and we made the worst pick in the history of drafting.

If you are expecting a second rounder to contribute from day 1 then you are setting yourself up for disappointment, look at Graham rookie year and that is after playing 4 years in a major college program. I would expect him to play mainly in Greensboro this season and I am 100% fine with that.

I think we need to remind ourselves that both LaMelo and Vernon are 19 years old. All of our other young guys - Riller, Monk, Richards, Bridges, and PJ are 2 to 4 years older than them. It makes a big difference, they should be given more room for error and growth.

I was never expecting Carey to contribute like many were after we drafted him. He's certainly young, but it's not encouraging he can't even get minutes during the preseason. It seems like Carey will not see the floor at all unless an injury comes down from Cody or Biz. I'm not writing him off completely but many on here were predicting he might start at some point this year, that will not be the case.

It never was the case those are pipe dreams. Hes gotta get summer league and another training camp as well as this season to see what's up with him.

Not worried. Mitch picked Carey (19) over Oturu (21) and Tillman (21). Banking on potential, right?

Carey's trainer, Stan Remy, worked with both Butler and Wade. He's going to make it in the league, it's only a matter of time and opportunity.

Are some of you really writing off a 19 year old second round pick because he didn't play in some preseason games? Geez.

I'm not writing him off, just threw away all my expectations, it's really telling we played undrafted players over him and also yanked him after one minute

Being a bonehead is a benching offense. Carey blew two defensive assignments back to back. Happy for the tough love, if that's what it was. Carey's a pro now. He needs to get his head in the game.

He can only play center so it’s not like we are playing other undrafted centers over him... he is making the roster so no need to watch him play a meaningless 4 minute stretch in a second preseason game.

Wouldn’t shock me if he playing over Biz 4 months from now, but I don’t think anything he did this week prevents that from happening. Also again he is a second rounder so if he doesn’t pan out oh well most don’t.
