The rookie bigs are going to be horrible and then you will just shred their performance....

If we need another center then we should sign Dedmon.

Now we've gone to pre-complaining about guys saying mean things

My main takeaway from last nights game is that I need to watch Shoplifters.

I am not complaining, just saying it is inevitable haha.

If you think PJ and McDaniels are bad, then this board will shred Richards and Carey. Neither are ready to play minutes, they both looked like garbage in preseason vs 4th stringers.

My main point is Biz is averaging under 29 minutes a game right now and his max is 31 minutes. I don't view that as running him into the ground, Zeller will be back in a month and Biz minutes will go down some.

how many times has biz played a full season? what's his career high avg for minutes played?

if he goes down - the kids play regardless. and with WAY more minutes and none of the experience  pick your poison there

i'd like to sign dedmon too (or anyone really) but mitch should've signed way better bigs in the first place. until he actually does something that suggests he understands how unbalanced this roster is then i'm kinda like whatever at this point

we've had tougher guys than miles and PJ get careers cut short playing out of position under the rim too so i'm really, really not comfortable with this current look - especially when its not even making us that much better

again i don't even care if they're bad. JB talking about playing Miles at center when even Gerald Wallace couldn't do it? bro. enuf

if that's not a cry for help then i don't know what is

So how many minutes do you prefer Biz to play? Then give Carey or Richards all the backup center minutes?

hayward - needs to stop being a passenger already and lead
lamelo - its obvious the kid got it at this point. he's a better defender than rozier and graham at this point

Hayward - I agree. That is great that you make the right play but your $$$ means you need to take over much more when needed. Defers too much. Note: This will not change, it is who he is

Lamelo - He impresses me more and more each game. I really like his absolute hustle as well

No one cares if Carey and Richards are bad this year. We just want to give them a chance to possibly surprise us or at the very least a few minutes here and there to develop and learn. It looks very unlikely we'll be in the playoffs anyway.

No one is expecting any miracles as our roster is so poorly balanced and assembled. That is no one persons fault but Cho, Kupchak, Jordan and Borrego all probably deserve a bit of shared blame in that regard.

There isn't one. Our five most valuable pieces aside from Hayward are three combo guards and two combo forwards, with the sixth being yet another combo guard recovering from COVID. Last season's unquestioned best player is shooting 25% from the field. We went into the season with one viable option at center, who is already injured. I guess, throw Carey in there and see what he can do with about 20 minutes. But this team is FAR away from doing anything. LeBron might be the only player in the world that could get this team higher than the sixth seed if you replaced Gordon with them, and even then... the defense would be cheeks.

Philly also seem like a team where you could give Carey a go, as they have traditional bigs in Embiid and Dwight. So he shouldn't be chasing around a forward.

I don’t believe signing Hayward means we are desperately pushing for the playoffs, I saw it as grabbing a quality player while continuing to develop internally. Ball and bridges have been bright points. Rozier has been good as well. PJ has been disappointing coming in under done but the team is committed to developing him. Hopefully we see some improvement for him and the game slows down for him like it did for bridges
