We do have an unbalanced roster, but that is a result of taking BPA. Do you want the organization to make top free agency signings and top picks based on roster balance or just adding the best possible talent?

We took the Best player available instead of reaching for OO at the Center spot. We signed Hayward (probably best fa who changed teams) instead of signing Wood, Ibaka or whoever else to fill a need at Center.

We really do not have that much guard depth. We really have three rotation guards and then Monk/Martins. That is pretty normal. Atlanta, Dallas, Miami, Twolves, Pelicans and Spurs all have at least 4 guards who are just as good or better than ours.

Overall if anything I think our team lacks depth. Which makes sense when you consider we have 6 guys on our active roster who were second rounders/undrafted just from the last two drafts. If we got hit with a Covid strand our depth would be even worse, which is why I have been advocating to deal for a couple Vets all season.

Our bench isn't good, our depth beyond our bench is horrible.

I'm not convinced that Miles, Monk, Graham, and at this point even PJ are long term pieces. Do we even want Rozier as a long term off ball guard?

I just don't understand where we're going.

I see our team like this long-term:
Starters
PG- LaMelo- young stud
SG- Rozier (Draft Replacement this year or next before his contract expires, but for now he can avg 20 ppg)
SF- Hayward- prime stud
PF- PJ (he is second year guy, still fits modern NBA career avgs of 12 ppg, 36 % three. At worst 4th/5th starter type
C- TBD- Free Agency or Draft

Bench Pieces
6th man- Graham (sign him to 4/36 and let him average 12 ppg off bench)
7th man- Bridges (we still have two years of him, can continue to develop into an energy guy off the bench)
8th man- One of our current centers will probably be backup next year (Biz, Zeller, Carey, Richards)

Maybe 1 of these guys ends up mattering
Caleb Martin- fine for now because Covid depth
Cody Martin- fine for now because Covid depth
Jalen McDaniels- would trade him for a guy to help now
Vernon Carey
Nick Richards
Grant Riller

Probably not coming back so should trade
Monk
Zeller

Biggest Needs Longterm
Dependable starting center (Doesn't have to average 20/10)
Knockdown Shooter off bench (probably just steal a Vet from a bad team)
Defensive Stopper off bench (Could be Vet or could be rookie like Scottie Barnes or Kuminga)
Rozier replacement in starting lineup (I'm fine with Terry unless we can draft a clear upgrade)
