i don't think devonte has the ability to adjust his game at all

hayward can't get free on the perimeter, he works the midrange
lamelo can't find anyone, he'll look for his shot to get defenses honest
malik can't hit a three, he'll drive

devonte just.... cmon man lol. its like he doesn't even look at who's guarding him either. if seth curry is on you - attack. you bail the entire defense out if you don't

i'm ready to move on from Devonte, just didn't think this game was a good example. everyone seemed to struggle.
he did get himself to the line a few times. it seemed to be his only other go to

I'll take 22/6/8 most nights. It was the inability to stop Philadelphia, especially in the first, that hurt the most. They hit 51% from the field and 40% from three.

As feared, Coach Borrego refused to play Richards, the one guy on the roster who could match up physically with Embiid, more or less. It was amusing to see (much) smaller players guard Embiid and irritate the guy so much he threw it into the stands a couple of times, but by then it was pretty much too late.

embiid can get his its whatever but you can't just let dwight abuse everyone else completely unopposed while the philly starters rest

dwight had 10 rebounds in 15 minutes. that's absurd. not even counting the physicality that our guards just sat on the receiving end of. its almost hypocritical to get mad at the refs for our guys getting beat up when you allow it to happen by rolling out lineups where the biggest guy is miles

i'm more irritated that he just waves the white flag regarding the interior and STILL gets nothing from the wings that go in just to get beat up on

i mean i'm not trying to single him out or anything. philly is a bad matchup across the board. there's no way we were winning this game. short handed or not.

its just something i've grown irritated with this year compared to last. now he'll dribble the air out of the ball from 35ft out like defenses aren't completely comfortable with his bad lillard impression. and his foul baiting is downright pathetic to watch as a fan so i can only imagine how it is to watch from the opposing angle.

props to miles though for staying active tonight despite being overmatched on both ends

the couple of times we've seen Richards, he has been pretty awful. he's not overly thick either, i think Embiid would destroy him more than Zeller and Biz

Now is the time to start Ball and Rozier together.

If this is what Monk's bad games look like now, thats actually a good sign.

Its getting kind of hard not to. I like Ball and Monk together a lot, so Id hope JB would stagger the minutes to get them a decent amount of court time together regardless.

I think Devonte is fine once you view him in the proper context. He gets put in a lot positions where he needs to do things he isn't really cut out for. If he was playing like 22 mpg as a backup who isn't expected to carry a heavy scoring load then I think his efficiency would be perfectly fine and his game fits really well with how the team wants to play.

He'll probably cheap to resign as well. I could see something like 3/24. I would try to resign he and Monk (3/30-32?) and then look to eventually trade whichever undersized SG (Rozier/Monk) turns out worse value for a better center.

Rozier or Monk/Graham
LaMelo/Monk or Rozier
Hayward/Martin2
PJ/Miles
Cody/Biz

If it’s any consolation we're not the only team Embiid is going to make feel helpless this year

Philly just abuses our lack of size/length offensively/defensively. Not going to beat them without getting scorching hot from outside.
