I haven't really posted much this season even though I have been watching a lot more games than usual -- even though I'm still pretty "casual" considered how much I used to follow the team! -- but I just wanted to say that I'm not a super fan of Zeller or McDaniels (even though he did finally end up making some buckets for a short stretch there).
Weren't we playing like Rozier/LaMelo/Graham all together at one point? Along with Bridges and Washington? Why don't we seem to play them all together anymore? Or why not give Biyombo minutes over Zeller at least? Even when Biyombo plays bad, it seems like he still finds a way to have a positive impact on the game; however, when I watch Zeller, it's like I always see him making bonehead plays or just getting bullied or something. You know how some guys always seem to be in the right place at the right time? Zeller is the opposite of that. And with McDaniels, it just seems like we can't really count on him to score at all. He does seem to be okay defensively, but our biggest problems lately seem to be just going cold for long stretches, which usually end up costing us the game over the past few weeks.

Welcome to the board!
Thank you! And sorry to have my first post be a complaint. Hope they bounce back strong!

Even if we don't make the playoffs the excitement for next season is going to be unreal.

I think it’s classic coach choke. LaMelo was struggling a bit so they don’t trust him to play through it. He’s a rookie...yes, but a transcendent talent who finds magical ways to impact the game.
Having said that teams are dialing it up and we are too brittle/undersized to cope. Had the team been able/willing to address the 5 spot we’d be finishing 4th.
Nevertheless it was the most exciting season in some time.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

I just don’t understand the mindset behind abandoning what got you there and instead putting the ball in Devontes hands or having Terry force difficult shots. I want LaMelo controlling the ball in crunch time. You’re more likely to get an open Devonte three or better shot for Terry that way. We opened up a 6 point lead late in the 4th only to stop what was working and go with what we know doesn’t. Damn.

If we're going to (especially me) get onto Devonte for shooting poorly we also need to get into Lamelo for clanking 3s left and right missing literally 5 layups against the Knicks and today he airballed a 3 by 7 feet then bitched saying he got hit when no one touched him. Kid needs to get his **** together.

I'm willing to say that add a FA C and another lottery pick and let's ducking go next season.

Re: GT: Game #72 - Charlotte @ Washington (May 16th)
I've been following the Hornets/Bobcats now since the early nineties and I've got to say this is probably one of the most disappointing ends to a season I can remember, yes we haven't played well recently clanking 3's all over the place but we were 4th a month ago till we had all the injuries.
We have a good team and the potential for a really good exciting team if we add a few pieces and cut one of two.
Just wish the Hornets fans were allowed nice things.
