Jamorko Picket signed an exhibit 10 deal with the Pistons last night. So that leaves just 1 player I like unsigned in Obadiah Noel. I still wish the Hornets would sign him.

Our roster is coming together. There are some positions we could use but not really sure which direction to go in. We have centers but they need to develop. Right off the bat I know we need a backup PG. Next year's draft does not seem like one filled with franchise changing players but good additions.

Here is a breakdown of my top 5 players (or less) I think are good for us at those positions from best to worse.

-----
COMBO GUARD - Rozier, Riller

Jaden Shackelford - Played in front of Primo. Sniper and plays with good energy and understanding.
Jalen Warley - Reminds me of Killian Hayes but faster and right handed.
Hunter Salis - Street ball style but a ton of upside and good size at 6'4.
Kenneth Simpson JR - A controled Street ball style with a lot of athleticism.
Caleb Murphy - Fun player. Had somewhat of a down year but could be there 2nd round. One of my favorites.

-----
POINT GUARD - LaMelo

Scottie Pippen Jr. - Adds a POP and swagg. Could be a great backup for LaMelo. I think he would fit in perfectly.
Andre Curbelo - Floor general. Runs the point to perfection.
Carter Witt - Had a subpar season but is a fun player with good size at 6'4.

-----
SHOOTING GUARD - Rozier, Bouknight

Manny Obaseki - Reminds me a bit of Josh Primo. Might be my favorite player next year.
Caleb Houstan - Great size and good shooter. Can play SG and SF.
Justin Moore - Reminds me of Saddiq Bey, but with more savviness and a high IQ.
Terrence Shannon JR. - Reminds me of Kelly Ourbre. Just a solid player.
Shooters - Adam Miller, Lester Quinones.

-----
SMALL FORWARD - Hayward, Oubre, McDaniels

Jordan Hall - Great all around game. Runs the point forward.
Andre Jackson - Played with Bouknight last year. Athletic freak.
Jalen Wilson - Filler player. Good all around game.
Colby Jones - Similar game to Jalen Wilson above.
Josh Minott - He's an unknown but in a good way. Athletic, good defender and pays with confidence. Huge potential.

-----
POWER FORWARD - Miles, PJ,

Brandon Huntley Hatfield - Has guard skills. Reminds me of Miles.
Mouhamed Gueye - Has guard skills but is a tad awkard.
Babacar Sane - Not much info yet but I like what I see.

-----
CENTER - Plumlee, Biz, Kai, Thor

Chet Holmgren - Not sure about his jumper but everything else on point.
Drew Timme - Doesn't do anything bad but might be slightly undersized.
Azuolas Tubelis - Good all around game.
Xavier Foster - Good shooter.

IMO, Holmgren is not a center. I’d say he’s a 4/3. He’s slight of build but handles well for his size and consistently knocks down shots. I do feel he’s going to be a good player.

Next years draft is thin-ish imo. I have already narrowed the first pick to around 3 players in

Manny Obaseki, Brandon Huntley Hatfield, Jordan Hall,

with - Jalen Warley, Hunter Sallis, Kenneth Simpson JR

in strong consideration...

But as of late two players have emerged as potential steals imo. The first is Josh Minott who is not on the radar much at all but a beast. 6'8 and can shoot and athletic. I think he can potentially slide into our first pick consideration.

2nd is Kadary Richmond. He seems like a solid pro. Nothing flashy but has a high knowledge of the game. Only downfall is I really want a SF next year because with Hayward, Oubre etc... We might still lack but we can buy time I supposed with them two hanging around...

ROOKIE TRACKER 2021

Post#1546 » by UNCNYC » Wed Oct 6, 2021 11:01 am

Last night I noticed the Bucks played Sandro Mamukelashvili 29 mins. That could be an indicator that he might be part of their plans. I liked him and Sims a lot as center options for us... I thought we would sign either him or JaQuori to rookie deals but we didn't. What I like about Sandro is his ability to play multiple positions.
