not the point. this team isn’t good enough to win. play bouknight

Team has more than enough talent to be a playoff team. Bouknight needs to go get some run with the Swarm.

do you think we will magically play defense? it ain’t happening

Lol and do you think Bouknight is going to help our defense? Kids a good prospect. He's not ready. We're definitely not in the position to just throw someone out there to get minutes to develop him. You talk about confidence? Throw him out there when he's not ready watch him struggle and you'll really see someone's confidence shatter

giving him 3 minutes over 10 games doesn’t help. that’s the problem. we aren’t good enough to take the next step. he needs to play consistently

I'll just day I whole heartedly disagree before we start repeating ourselves over and over. The only player who he even has a shot at getting minutes over is Oubre, and I don't see that happening either. He definitely isn't getting any minutes from Rozier, and Cody Martin literally might be our most important player right now and needs more minutes if anything

Cut Richards, sign a still available Demarcus Cousins to a 1+1 vet min.

I actually like Richards. Could totally get on board with Cousins though. At least he's a huge strong bull down low.

Agree to disagree on Richards, but it hit me the other day that Cousins was still floating out there - had come across the link below where Mike Malone (Denver Nuggets) was asked about the evolution of the big and, unsolicited, he brought up Cuz - "I think it’s crazy that DeMarcus is not in the league right now. That guy is a very, very talented player."

Cuz wouldn't help us on D, but he can score, board, bounce bodies around, and help counter some of the soft as baby **** play I've been seeing from our frontcourt.

I get that everyone's buddies and hung out over the summer but this is the NBA, this team needs a trade desperately. Way too many overlapping skill sets on the wing and nothing at all on defense or rebounding or in the paint. Fix it Mitch

On a positive note Hayward is still healthy and shooting a 50/50/80 split.

We should trade him.

He’s terrible.

I’m with MPM: I don’t get all this gushing over Nicky.

I think he looked stiff, awful and constantly out of position.

Not a great performance but it's a road game on the west coast and Sacto had some truly absurd good fortune with some of those threes. Melo and Gordo showed up the way stars should, that was the one bright spot.

Rozier is killing us right now, hopefully he can play himself into shape soon and find that groove again. I know he worked hard over the summer so it's not a problem of preparation. I'm confident he will be much better once he gets these ankle issues behind him.

Our C rotation is abysmal. Mason isn't an upgrade over Zeller (though also not really much worse, to be fair) and all our young prospects like like they barely know how to play basketball. Richards has improved to the point he looks like a below-average NBA big rather than a below-average G-League big, I hope he or one of the others can make a big leap. I really wish we had taken Sengun.

I really don't know why we took Kai Jones. We could really use Garuba right now.

Garuba is getting about the same amount of playing time as Kai is, is as raw as Kai is, has less measurables than Kai does and less diversity to his game as Kai has.

Why are you so insistent on continually bringing Garuba up as the solution and answer to our needs?

Garuba is ready to defend and rebound, Kai looks lightyears away from playing meaningful basketball

Kai and Bouk should at least get some run, for anything just because the starters are getting a little too comfortable

Really have to start questioning JBs ability to coach defense. I was disappointed he didn't add a proven defensive assistant this summer when it's been clear for years we need help on that end.

Roster is certainly a huge part of the problem, but scheme should be able to help. We don't have a single plus defender in the starting lineup. And Cody might be the only plus defender on the roster.

But JB is gonna get lots of time. We just signed him to an extension and the players seem to love him, especially Melo.
