I think we got some favorable calls until the 4th, when the refs went overboard trying to give the Bucks the game

But when you have a player like Giannis than is such a unicorn its hard to ref that

Also I hate Grayson Allen immensely, but we need a dirty player like that to rattle the other team. Cody Martin take notes

we just don't have a damn center
MIL was starting Portis as there center. This was the perfect game for us to play PJ at the 5.

Us losing this game had absolutely nothing to do with our center rotation.

Giannis went 14/21 from 2pt and they had 3x as many offensive rebounds as we did
it have absolutely everything to do with it. we have 0 rim defense
No center is locking Giannis down in the paint. Their last game he was 10-13 from 2 against IND with Turner playing.

Against AD and LAL he was 15-19 from 2.

This was not a game where we'd play better with a more traditional C in the lineup IMO.

Ultimately it was pretty crap both ways most likely, Charlotte probably got fouled on some of the drives that they didn’t get but some bad calls on us as well (Portis phantom call or two comes to mind).
Great game overall, though, due to the players and not the refs at all.

On a good note we have 3 days off before what seems like our 54th road game of the year.

i was thinking about this earlier. does anyone have quick access to the SoS numbers and home away splits?

Hornets must have a very favorable second half of the season, right?

After Sundays game at Atlanta that will be 16 road games compared to 9 at home. Then we have 2 straight at home against Philly which is a horrid matchup for us anyway to make it 11 home games compared to 16 road, then a home game against Sac to make it 12.

Then we go on another damn 6 game road trip that last until Dec 27th which will make it 22 road games vs 11 at home 33 games into the season.

Thats insanity.

LaMelo is loved by everyone, especially other GM’s and star players. The jersey swap last night was a great sign of respect from their all-star. While I’m sure it was spontaneous, the oozing coming from other teams and supposedly his dad concern me. Will other stars line up to come here and play with Melo? Maybe. Do stars want to position themselves and their teams to court Melo to come to their team in free agency? Guarantee you that!
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Ah, moving from the curse of ‘we can never have nice things’ to the curse of ‘everyone wants my nice thing.’ We’ve evolved boys.

Melo is locked up for 6 more years, if he leaves in 6 years because we didn't put a team around him, then that's our fault
