Props to Borrego for sticking with PJ, ish, KO, and McDaniels. Not a big fan of McDaniels in the final minutes but it worked out.

He has shown to be willingly agile this season with his line ups on the fly, opting to go with the hot players and not being afraid at all to sit any on of his starters for extended mins for the greater good of going for the win.

I dunno but checking the boxscore and my god he was 13-34 from the field. Didn't seem that bad live, but wow.
That is shocking - especially considering how many bunnies he hit in the paint/under the rim.

Also, he had more turnovers (6) than assists (5) and he had his shot blocked (4) more times than he took FT’s (3).

We would be pulling out several more wins had we signed Cousins. I’ll take it, but I’m not impressed. We need a respectable Center in order to complete this roster and/or play Richards more than the current 2-5 minutes per game.

Chriss with 13pts, 5 rebs, 2 stls in 13 minutes, I honestly believe he could start for us.
edit: oops, he fouled, so maybe not so much

I'm beginning to firmly believe our lack of defense isn't on one position (center, I think we've all believed that for a while), but a willing to commit to that end. I think a few posted about that in the last game thread its about a willingness to play defense. I honestly think Miles and Mason try on that end. Miles is lost a third of the toke and Mason is just outmatched. But at least they try. Hayward attempts to play defense but can't. This falls on Rozier and Lamelo. Rozier is a more than capable defender but had been a **** show this season, and Lamelo gambles like he's starring opposite Tom Cruise in the movie Rainman, and on top of that he's not the best on ball defender by any man's imagination. This game turned when Ish came in gave 140% effort and lifted everyone. I'm buying myself an Ish Smith jersey on top of the Martin jersey I got my fiance for Christmas.

So, I shut it off at halftime. Good to see we still have some fight in us, but certain players need to step up. Good on PJ and Kelly for taking the load. Hayward/Bouk for Sabonis+bad salary back is a no brainer trade for me

what if they win
Reverse jinx?
What can I say, I will now lovingly refer to this as the Ish Smith Game.
excited to see PJs effort; Oubre fantastic; fun to see Lamelo’s reaction when Ish hit that 3

Shocked when I saw the score this morning. Even more pleasantly surprised to see who the main characters were in this comeback. Watching highlights, was pumped to see the drive, the fire, coming from McDaniels, Ish, and (what…?) PJ! Who wizzed in his cornflakes? Oubre was HUGE. They played with effort.
Starters on the bench, deservedly, for average efforts or worse. Coach should keep rewarding those who get results. Not down on any one player other than Hayward, who needs to be traded for a 5 soon. LaMelo needs to focus more on defense while still doing his amazing fun stuff. Terry has struggled but he’s always pushing. Plum is plum awful other than backing up someone. Miles is our best player right now. Until they make the moves necessary let the good dogs run when they have the moxie going.

I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

So - drunken holidaze - had no idea we had a game last night. Did our bench win this one? Looks like McD had a bit of a mile high party?

If you have access to the game, watch the first roughly 6 minutes, then skip to halfway through Q3 and watch the rest of the game.
